If you're going to quote me, please look at what I actually said. We never announced a Q400 and we have no intention to. There are massive differences between the 200/300 and the 400. It's like the NG vs. the 737 classics.

Man do I hate saying something and then getting slapped later.....lol

I missed that, but can't say I'm all that surprised by it. I know PMDG has their hands full with the 777, the 747v2, the DC-6, and the remaining NGX variants.  With the recent release of the Q400 elsewhere, there probably isn't as much of a compelling business case for PMDG to make a Dash-8 anymore.  Might be best to just look around and see what else they could bring some of the PMDG magic to.

My vote would be for a 757/767 or 787, personally!

Ah, that's what I get for responding to hearsay.  Thanks for clearing that up, Ryan.

I know PMDG has expressed previously that they do not want to compete with other 757 projects allegedly in the works, but man, what I wouldn't give for a 757 with NGX quality.  Hopefully someday one will grace my virtual skies.

Looking forward to all the great goodies coming from PMDG!

And yeah I forgot Majestic is doing the 300 again

Not "is doing" but "plans to do" after PRO and TRAINING, which can take a year!

That Majestic Bird looks nice but it is a lot of money IMO. I can buy three Citation X's from Eaglesoft for that. (Majestics full version Apples to Apples)

Its very nice done! Its really alive, this little bird..

But there are quite a few bugs in atm., and its "only" the "pilots version"- means that there are no failures, circuit brakers or systems who interact with each other, they will be implemented in the other (advanced) versions (who are ! months away) . if you decide to buy, you can, after the release of the next version, upgrade to this version for only the difference at about ~20€

However, if you decide to buy, i can say you realy wont regret it.

As far as i have read in the inet, PMDG is doing the 400, but not as a light product- it will be a full blown simulation a la ngx

This was in a PMDG post 2 above your's:-

I bet PMDG dont do the Dash 8. Just my Guess -_-  Would Love them to Do the ATR or 737-300 & 400

Will the PMDG Dash 8 have a weather radar?

The Dash's WX radar wouldn't be too hard to simulate. It doesn't paint very much of anything. Especially when you really need it.

Yeah I noticed that as well.    I was flying into a rain storm and nothing on the radar...

Mr. Randazzo sayed that on the 24. April to the Flight! Magazin, Laal... but let you surprise.

By the way- Majestic ´s doing th 100,200 and 300 after the release of the last q400 Series- but thats far away :)

Get it right :).

We plan on upgrading the Q300 to FSX standards. We have not made a final decision on the 100/200 variant, so please don't go getting everyone's hopes up until an "official announcement is made - ON THE MJC WEBSITE/FORUM"

Thx

Yes, tried majestic dash 8 many months before release. I was one of their beta testers since jan 2013 to test the model. Very good model for sure, and flight dynamics are realistic. My curiosity was with the pmdg and their old topics or plans for upcoming aircraft. As we all know, they're keeping cards close to their chest, and we already know of 777 and 747 soon to be released. However, there are two projects that they are not commenting on, and I'm curious to figure out of dash 8 perhaps is still on the cards, despite limited intel / info on this topic. Pmdg, can you shed some light on this area for us all? Ds

Here is what Mr Randazzo said some time ago about the Dash:

"We put it ON ICE. As for when/if/whether we bring it back to the front burner- I won't know that answer until we get the 777 out the door"
