May 7, 201313 yr Commercial Member I'll probably use it on some shorter routes, like IAD-MIA, which UAL used to do seasonally due to volume (coincidentally, right about now), and then sprinkle in some longer routes as I find them for the type on FlightAware. Large aircraft = large volume of passengers Large aircraft != long routes, necessarily Kyle Rodgers
May 7, 201313 yr All sorts of short/medium routes round Asia. Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, all with real 777 routes and no more than 4 hours. HK to Taipei is one of the busiest routes in the world and Cathay fly 777s all day long.So do EVA. can't wait for release Peter Peter James
May 7, 201313 yr How do I update JNB code from FAJS to FAOR? I just tried it. I have no idea. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
May 7, 201313 yr Author Since you ask the question Luke- what are you planning? Luke will be doing ultra long hauls if i know him correct Probably come under the Long Haul/Ultra category the most. However I think 15 hour flights can only be done so much in FSX - maybe like two sectors a month. Average likely 8-12! However I'll definitely be doing some DXB>Europe runs which just fall into the long haul category. Those are for when I have time, but not too much! (-: @olli4740 I'm a nosey person :-P - Luke Pabari
May 7, 201313 yr Nope - this is how I learnt it in School: Short Haul: <3 hours Medium Haul: 3-6 hours Long Haul: 6+ hours I'm not sure if Ultra-Long Hauls have an official definition. However I'd place it 13+ hours. Surprising you voted that you hate long haul! Surely in this aircraft where 16 - 18 hours are possible, taking it for say a 6 hour flight is short haul! Not voted, but a mixture for me, maybe less crossing of Atlantic as I have done that alot in the 767 and 747 but some Europe - Asia - Pacific ones. Also Australia - Asia and New Zealand with ideas from Flightaware and making my routes involve places I have not flown into before. I do have a soft spot for VHHH to CYVR even though I have never flown it in the rw. Also a must when the 300  comes out will be VHHH to KJFK and then some middle east to west coast US (polar routes). That should keep me out of trouble! Carl Carl Beeby
May 7, 201313 yr Gotta break the freighter in right with ultra long haul. 7707NM from KMEM-OMDB. Once that's completed maybe some shorter jumps. Chris Sunseri
May 7, 201313 yr Author Surely in this aircraft where 16 - 18 hours are possible, taking it for say a 6 hour flight is short haul! Haha yes this is true. Once you do 12-16 hour flights, 6 is like a Heathrow>Manchester  - Luke Pabari
May 8, 201313 yr Haha yes this is true. Once you do 12-16 hour flights, 6 is like a Heathrow>Manchester  Once you do 2 h flights, 6 h are like 12 - 16 h ... NZCH -> NZAA : Longest route I'll ever fly in a T7 ... What happened to AVSIM
May 8, 201313 yr After the ferry flight, my first haul will be LOWW -LPMA: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdSyCnl3ypc
May 8, 201313 yr I most likely do egkk-kmco BA just need to find some good kmco scenery for fsx, any ideas?? Paul Paul, Flying The Virtual Skies Since FS95
May 8, 201313 yr I'll do some long haul with accelerated time until I get into long haul using real time. I'll probably do some 5-8 hour flights though, such as Brisbane to Singapore or New York to Los Angeles. Thanks, Kevin L
