After loads of testing I came to a conclusion:

ENBseries by Nick's settings from AOA are the only one who reflects the reality ALL the others simply make it to colorish if that's a word, it make the color stand out to much, unrealistic.

cheers.

Hi Daniel,

I check AOA website, the link for Nick's setting is gone. So would you like to post it here?

Thanks,

Yes, that works perfect. You have to get used to it.  If you use Rex I recommend using it a few days. Only in the early morning it is a little bit dark. But hey, domelight is there to help  :P

recently i have amended the REX ENB package by using Gabriel's textures and ENB palette and also i use shades add on.

Gabriel's textures/ENB palette link:https://www.dropbox.com/s/q6amad16zyl3b1y/Sky-Textures-for-ENB-Series.rar

he had recently a post here in Avsim about it: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/409867-guys-do-you-have-interest-in-this-set-of-sky-textures-for-using-with-enb-series-warn-heavy-topic/page-3

The word you're looking for is 'saturated.'

I haven't had any kind of problems with ENB modes. No CTDs or anything. I've been using an ENB mod for a year now and I wouldn't fly FS for a minute without it. I feel that it is absolutely the most important feature that you can install in addition to REX to make FSX look perfect. The good thing is that it's got only 2-3 files that you can just delete if you get problems. This is actually the first time I read anyone having CTDs or else with enbs.

Same here. I used ENB on my old C2D WinXP 32bit system for years with FSX and never had any crashes, FPS loss or other problems. Just recently I moved on to a new rig that is Win 7 64bit and installed my old ENB set up and just like on the old rig, no problems at all. Makes me really wonder what is different about my last two installs on two completely different machines that gave me no issues using ENB and those who have also tried it on their system  and have a lot of issues with FPS and crashes.

So far my best setup has when using ENB has been the 24hour ENB palette and .ini that was posted on the REX forum and HDEv2 sky textures. That ENB setup can be used with any sky texture combo and so far for me has proven to be about as good as it can get for a realistic looking day and night without being overly bright or bloomy, or too dark looking in the day time.

ENB caused all sorts of issues on my machine, giant spikes appearing everywhere, textures flickering and CTDs. It was beautiful when it worked and I still use ENBserie in other games, but it does not get on with FSX on my system.

I don't use any of this stuff - causes too much instability in my experience.

I agree. I had four crashes in a week when before installing it I can't remember the last time FSX crashed on me! I just uninstalled it as it crashed again just as I finished entering my route up to Edinburgh - thank god I saved just before!

IF you can manage to run it, I recommend the 24-hour ENB and REX's Natural Dawn, Day, and Dusk series. Seems more subtle and realistic to me.
