Good evening everyone (or afternoon, depending on where you are)

at first: sorry for adding one more topic to this big 777 forum but I have no clue where else to ask this.

So my question:

Where can we expect the 777 to be available and how long after the initial release?

What I mean is something like: Maybe 24h after release in PMDG's webshop it will be available on amazon and just flight for download.

I ask because I still have some amazon gift vouchers and just flight loyalty points and it would be nice if I could use one of these to purchase the 777. It would be worth waiting if the time frame between release in the PMDG webshop and release on amazon and co. was something like less than a week or so.

What are your experiences with previous releases?
Any official comment on that?

Thanks in advance for every response.

Regards, always three greens and happy landings,

Max

'Evening,

The one retailer of PMDG products that I know off (please correct me if I'm wrong) is Aerosoft, however that's only the DVD product (except the 736/737NGX expansion), so I wouldn't expect that soon after release to be honest.

Cheers,

Another consideration I am actually making... Which way of buying gets the most of my hard-earned cash into their hard earning hands?

Not to say that other retailers aren't doing a good job, but PMDG has been helping this FS Community forward for quite some time.

Since I suspect they will get most from their own web shop, that's where my money will go.

Name available upon request

Justflight have never I don't think offered a PMDG product, but you never know! My 777 will be coming from the PMDG shop!

Same for me as thomas, just purchasing to PMDG directly, just want to make sure the money I place in the product goes into PMDG's pocket as completely as possible. Through amazon or others retailer they'll take comissions and all so for the same amount would diminish what's going to PMDG. As much as possible I purchase products from creators websites, unless they don't sell it on their own, in that case there is no choice :)

If Aerosoft publishes the boxed T7 it will be available in a number of different places. But why should someone still wait after release of the download version?

As Thomas said already: Make the developer rich, publisher Aerosoft can make money in other ways.

What happened to AVSIM

Aerosoft can make money in other ways.

Don't let Mathijs hear you say that ;-)

You guys would be correct on that and we hugely appreciate it. Buying direct from us is the best way to support us and make sure we continue doing this long into the future.

Sorry but I did not mean a boxed version in any way.

I was only asking about a downloadable version.

And it is fully understandable that PMDG wants to get maximum profit and want us to buy their products in their shop.

But to be honest I care more about how I can save my hard-earned money while buying their products than thinking about if 90%, 95% or 100% of my paid money goes to PMDG.

If the conditions are the same I will always buy a product direct from the developer. But if there was a web shop like simmarket or amazon which offers me a 20% discount, I would buy it there.

Yeah I have always brought from PMDG Direct. I find it is also the best and quickest way to get your support that you need.

You rarely see PMDG products discounted - probably even less likely for a brand new release.

To answer your question regarding downloads in particular: Aerosoft offers the NGX base pack as a downloadable version, too. Not sure though, whether the T7 will be available from them as a download, as well. And I wouldn't expect any discounts from Aerosoft on the T7 in the near future.

Which reminds me - do you take Diners? I got a company card that has some neat incentives and we are allowed to use them for private purchases (provided we refund the price to CC account of course)

I for myself will buy it directly from PMDG. No bad experiences so far, easy, fast, and the best way to support the right guys :)
