August 31, 201312 yr I bought Idealflight for a flight planner wow I got so much more this is an amazing program, I never gave it a fair shake (to lazy) lol This shot was real time weather as good as any other I have tried, this was My local area and looked accurate as there was some spotty rain, also things like spawning to TOC - TOD wow didnt know it even had this - no fps loss at all, has lots of other features but just getting into this program I am very impressed, in the near future a new version should be out can't wait, does support ngx and airbusx and others too, you really need to give this software a look wow. August 31, 201312 yr first time i hear of it . so its technically a flight planner / weather engine with textures ? Faisal Altheyab
August 31, 201312 yr Author Textures are always REX, I suggest you check this out http://www.codelegend.com/idealflight/ I only bought it for a flight plan that I can import into NGX FMC, but has tons of other features and was really surprised when I saw the feature to spawn aircraft any where along the route with no problems, have not tried ngx just carenado malibu fyi Weather wise you can also select different weather scenarios not just real time. August 31, 201312 yr It doesn't do real-time weather though Richard, it's a weather "generator" basically, that gives you all the dynamics of real-time weather but with the option to change it any way you like (VFR conditions, more/less wind, etc.) You can however disable its weather engine and use Opus/AS2012/FSGRW etc if you want real-time weather combined with it. It is great though, and the new version that is coming out soon is adding tons of functionality including flight plan output to the major addons (PMDG, Aerosoft, QualityWings, etc.) It's also a great way to explore areas you may not be familiar with. You can click a spot on the world map and it selects the nearest suitable airport, then you can generate a flight with its weather system, all while getting a full briefing (also accessible via the kneeboard) which incorporates weather forecasts etc. Given that you have proper performance data entered for the selected aircraft, it finds airports with wide/long enough runways (you can specify ILS only, tower controlled only, etc) so it will always find a place suitable and won't make you try to land your 737 on a grass strip, lol. Or you can also enter your own destinations (for real world routes etc) and go that way, and you still get the full briefing etc. Really it does so much stuff that it's hard to summarize it effectively.
August 31, 201312 yr Author Ah thanks Buddy, this is a bit new to me but I do likey very much, flight plan from departure runway to destination runway with no long process works for me :Big Grin: Oh did I mention it imports perfectly into ngx fmc Rich Sennett
