September 2, 201312 yr Hello, i am quite an add-on addict... Last ones purchased during the summer were (from oldest to most recent) : 1. FTX Global : already own GEX for Europe, but the worldwide coverage and some nice graphical improvements made it a very satisfying purchase. 2. IRIS F-15E Mudhen + Metal2Mesh extension : One of the best modern fighter(bomber) jet available (and I also own F/A 18E from VRS). external and VC graphics are top notch, and realism seems very good. I have not spent a lot of time flying the beast yest, however. 3. FSDreamTeam Vancouver (CYVR) : slowly building my library of worldwide airports add-ons... Was missing something in this part of the world (closest add-on I own being FlightBeam KSFO). CYVR is a nice addition. 4. PFPX + TopCat : I will need time to tame this monster quite pleased overall with the level of details and the ease of use, but the sheer volume of functions is almost overwhelming... Already planned a flight from Munich to Dubaï and the result is really satisfying. 5. FlyTampa Dubaï. Here also, I had a big coverage hole in my detailed airports for this part of the world. Dubaï will best be used as soon as I grab the PMDG 777... Also eagerly awaiting : - Steve's DX10 fixer : I am a -DX10 only- FSX user. Need to cope with annoying display bugs on some addons, mostly FTX Global night lights (removed for now), some airport lights and vehicles, etc... Can't wait this awesome work that will probably fix most of all remaining problems with DX10. - PMDG 777 : mostly flying PMDG 737 NGX and Airbus X Extended so far... Switching to the 777 should allow for longer range trips and some interesting challenges learning how to master this impressive bird... Would hope for : - PMDG quality A380 anyone ? (sigh...) Chris Project Airbus has an A380 - not PMDG quality - but the best one out there at the moment. September 2, 201312 yr 1. VoxATC (love it so far, good realism/workload) 2. Twin Otter Extended (my new bush plane, love it) 3. F1 Kingair B200 (love it, learning the G1000) 4. Alabeo Staggerwing D-17 (ok, eyecandy but fast for the type of plane it is) 5. Majestic Dash 8 Q400 (love it, learning the FMS) Soon A2A C172 --John near KPAE

September 2, 201312 yr 5. Just Flight L1011 TriStar: a couple of circuits, then uninstalled. 4. Just Flight Traffic 360: won't use, because too much bother to send traffic to Kai Tak. 3. Aerosoft A320 X: a few flights, then uninstalled since far too fiddly for my tastes. 2. GS X: used a bit, a lot of fun, but had to uninstall since it kept crashing my system (even while airborne, surprisingly). 1. PMDG 737: used for a few flights, but uninstalling now, since it never really moved me much. 5 uninstalls out of 5 purchases! Michael

September 3, 201312 yr Hmmmm... you've piqued my curiosity. So what aircraft do you like and have kept installed? PMDG 747-400 was a keeper, my all time favourite (although not as dependable, in some respects, as their FS 2004 version which I bought on the day of release in 2005). FSL Concorde was also a keeper (purchased on release day 2010). Others come and go, but these two stay. Something to do with real-life sentimental attachment to these types for me, I suppose. Unfortunately, the 777 will probably not be a keeper either, since I prefer 2D panels. No real-world attachment to the type for me, either. Michael
September 6, 201312 yr Commercial Member My last 5 purchases has been: 1) Metal2Mesh F-15E Mudhen Avionics Upgrade 2) JustFlight Tristar 3) Sibwings AN-2 4) Aerosoft Twin Otter Only 4....sorry. Hank
September 6, 201312 yr PMDG 737 NGX 600-900 - best small airliner around for FSX without question QW757 - good aircraft, love the external model but can't stand looking at the VC having been so spoiled by PMDG :( Aerosoft Airbus X Extended - I could wait no longer for the FSL offering although I know I'll upgrade when it comes out. ORBX England - my home! FTX Global - game changer as you say!
