September 1, 201312 yr Ron, not before I get to post mine!!! 1. AVSIM bandwidth bill for September 2. AVSIM bandwidth bill for August 3. AVSIM bandwidth bill for July 4. AVSIM bandwidth bill for June 5. AVSIM bandwidth bill for May  Hmm....interesting add-ons you got there. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. September 1, 201312 yr August was an expensive month: 1. FTX Global. Game changer for FSX. Allows me to fly in regions I've never spent much time in because the default scenery was so bad. 2. Ideal Flight. I was looking for something to give me more structure. This fit the bill, but then I started reading about Air Hauler. Thus... 3. Air Hauler. Totally addicted. I started with a base in Europe. On the advice of some good people here, I've opened a new one in PNG. Purchased the Pacsim PNG Bush package for some airports. 4. Carenado Caravan and Cargomaster add on. I needed a nice cargo plane for Air Hauler. This is now my favorite plane along with the Legacy. 5. FSGRW. My first weather add on. Not perfect, but I like it a lot. Flying real weather in PNG is tough! Does the fog in valleys ever go away? I like the way your purchasing history displays such a logical flow. (I wish mine did.)
September 1, 201312 yr Hmm....interesting add-ons you got there. ... and I am sure that you are happy I have them.
September 1, 201312 yr ... and I am sure that you are happy I have them. I'm never happy. I wouldn't know what being happy is like. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
September 1, 201312 yr I'm never happy. I wouldn't know what being happy is like. Yeah, that was stupid of me. I should have realized that from your mug shot.... :LMAO:
September 1, 201312 yr 1. PFPX 2. Orbx Global 3. Flightbeam KIAD 4. Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended 5. Flight1 B200 No regrets among the bunch. September 1, 201312 yr Let me guess ... 3 and 5 ? Pretty darn close. You just only missed one and that was #4, which was MegaScenery Illinois. I just can't seem to get into photoreal. Ernie Saitek panels (multi, radio and the other panel) big mistake. Should have done more research Saitek panels (multi, radio and the other panel) big mistake. Should have done more research Sorry to hear that. I love my muti, radio and swtich panel, but I fly mostly Cessnas and that probably makes a difference. Ernie
September 2, 201312 yr #1: Fs Scene X World Pack - got it on sale, I don't really think it did much for me. [Early June] #2: Airbus X Extended - Love it, fly it nearly every day. [End March] #3: JustFlight Freemium 757 Livery Packs - tried the plane, thought it was nice, but it's beat out by the AXE. [January-ish] #4: PMDG 737 NGX - love it, fly it nearly every day with the Airbus X Extended [August or September 2012] #5: CLS A330/A340 - it did as much as I thought simming could do. After I found the NGX with it's SIDS and STARS and extreme attention to detail I got rid of it pretty quickly. [spring 2012] I never buy much, my computer can't ever handle it too well when I have too much downloaded, and I pretty much do at least 5-10 years (kidding ofc) of research before I buy anything. My hopeful upcoming purchases: #1: Feelthere E170/E190 AND E175/E195 Series aircraft - on sale 40% off of each currently. If anyone who has either of those could give me some input, that would be great, I'm on the edge after seeing not-so-great cockpit pictures. #2: REX once I upgrade RAM and GFX Card (might be years before that happens.) Regards, Jeremy Chesney
September 2, 201312 yr 1. PFPX: Simply love it. Let me setup a professional and detailed flightplans in a couple of clicks, a matter of two minutes max! It includes SID's and STAR's so I can get airborne pretty fast. A must with so little time for actual simming. 2. Majestic Q400: Awesome! Ideal for short hops. 3. Fly Tampa Dubai: best FSX airport ever! (can't wait for eham-omdb in the PMDG T7...) 4. FTX Global: Awesome, love the way it changes the whole looks of FSX 5. Airbus Extended: very nice plane, nice to learn about the Airbus philosophy but I keep coming back to the PMDG Boeing NGX. Lennart
September 2, 201312 yr Hi all, Interesting thread so here goes my last five add-on purchases, starting from the most recent! 1 PFPX... Great program but wouldn't work on my PC so after 3 days frustration I got a refund from Christian, great guy by the way. I must be the only one using fsx that couldn't get this to work! 2 Aerosoft Dutch Airports, it was included in their weekly sale recently. 3 Twin Otter Extended, well I had the original so with the offer on day 1 it seemed worth upgrading the old one for new, nice plane and works well! 4 Captain Sim 707, mmmm bought after watching the 707 skywards DVD from Avion, and wanted to re-create the flight from Brisbane to Manston. At the time CS were getting stick for their 777 so wanted to try a product and see for myself. It's brilliant, works well and sounds amazing. 5 Aerosoft BroncoX No idea why I bought this one, except it was in the weekly sale a while back. I think I was trying to clear out my aircraft files and have only really detailed accurate aircraft left, and hadn't got any modern war planes so far, not really my thing, but flies well and looks querky and again sounds great! There are alot more, but at the risk of getting banned the original poster did say only 5!! Happy Flying, Dave Phillips.
September 2, 201312 yr 1. Flytampa Midway Field Chicago - Absolutely stunning airport. I am going to get more Flytampa products. 2. ORBX FTX Global - A whole new world~ A new fantastic point of view~! No one to tell us no! Or where to go! Or say we're only dreaming~! ((That's all I can say about this insanely amazing product)) 3. Shockwave Lights Reduex - The only thing missing is my ability to project the Bat signal from my plane lights. 4. FSX Booster 2013 - WASTE OF MONEY. This did not fix a single issue I had. Your mileage may vary. 5. FS Passengers X - My delight is to hear my passengers scream in anguish as we plummet 5000fpm to the ground.. on fire! ^_^ Captain K-Man FlightBlog Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCulqmz0zmIMuAzJvDAZPkWQ // Streaming on YouTube most Wednesdays and Fridays @ 6pm CST Brian Navy
September 2, 201312 yr TSS sound pack for JT-3D on the CS 707 FTX Global FTX Scotland FTX Shoreham Flightbeam KIAD Global & Scotland are getting used. I like them both. I've been in to Shoreham a couple of times. Haven't been in the seven oh since getting the sound pack - I'm on a mission to log at least five hours on all my hanger queens before going back to the rest. KIAD has a couple of flight plans to it sorted in AS2012, but the a/c aren't in the <5hr lot, so it has to wait. The next two are waiting on releases... Mike Mike Dryden
September 2, 201312 yr Hello, i am quite an add-on addict... Last ones purchased during the summer were (from oldest to most recent) : 1. FTX Global : already own GEX for Europe, but the worldwide coverage and some nice graphical improvements made it a very satisfying purchase. 2. IRIS F-15E Mudhen + Metal2Mesh extension : One of the best modern fighter(bomber) jet available (and I also own F/A 18E from VRS). external and VC graphics are top notch, and realism seems very good. I have not spent a lot of time flying the beast yest, however. 3. FSDreamTeam Vancouver (CYVR) : slowly building my library of worldwide airports add-ons... Was missing something in this part of the world (closest add-on I own being FlightBeam KSFO). CYVR is a nice addition. 4. PFPX + TopCat : I will need time to tame this monster quite pleased overall with the level of details and the ease of use, but the sheer volume of functions is almost overwhelming... Already planned a flight from Munich to Dubaï and the result is really satisfying. 5. FlyTampa Dubaï. Here also, I had a big coverage hole in my detailed airports for this part of the world. Dubaï will best be used as soon as I grab the PMDG 777... Also eagerly awaiting : - Steve's DX10 fixer : I am a -DX10 only- FSX user. Need to cope with annoying display bugs on some addons, mostly FTX Global night lights (removed for now), some airport lights and vehicles, etc... Can't wait this awesome work that will probably fix most of all remaining problems with DX10. - PMDG 777 : mostly flying PMDG 737 NGX and Airbus X Extended so far... Switching to the 777 should allow for longer range trips and some interesting challenges learning how to master this impressive bird... Would hope for : - PMDG quality A380 anyone ? (sigh...) Chris
