Shoot... I found out not everything is saved when you exit FSX but not even when you SAVE the flight before you exit FSX. I was hoping Accu-sim would save everything, really, just as it saves progress and hours not flown. It's a bit odd hours not flown are being noted and that is has an impact on the plane while basic things switch settings aren't saved. That's a shame... would be far more realistic if everything is the way it was when you left the plane...

From ROB on the A2A forums to help clarify;

"The state of the chocks and stuff is not saved, the idea is to use the AUTO COLD&DARK turned ON for that. However we can add these items to the storing list, no problem."

Keep the feedback coming guys,

thanks,

OMG, now i got the clickspot issue too.  One thing that may be important is that this happend when i clicked the "Cold & dark" setting. It's the first time I used that function and it ruined my clickspots...

How do I get them back? :help:  :help:

Edit: Got them back with restarting FSX, Im not gonna click the "Cold and dark" setting again, that's for sure. Hope I don't get this bug regurarly now that I "activated" it.

Second Edit: Damn I should never had pushed that setting, now everything is unstable, CTD after 2 minute in flight...

Im starting to feel that this product is still in beta stage and that it was rushed out bit too soon.. :(

While you're here - sorry, I really don't want to sign up for another 'forum system that is separate from the order system' just to make a simple one line suggestion...

Have you thought about keeping a maintenance log from the maintenance hanger? It'd be nice to have

I have just posted this on the A2A site, so thought I'd share it here;

(I had been getting extreme loss of clickspots, between 1 and 3 minutes into loading the aircraft into FSX).

Mmmm, interesting, I have just made my first ever flight in the C172, where the clickspots did not disappear within minutes of loading the aircraft....

.........in fact the first flight where the clickspots did not disappear at all.

The difference ......

In this flight I did not open the Pre-flight Window at all.

I used all other windows including the maintenance hangar, options, I changed GPS, etc, etc ..... I just did not touch the Pre-Flight utility (SHIFT+8).

Now bear in mind also that some users have reported other issues with SHIFT+8, such as not seeing the Pre-Flight window or seeing a blue area in it's place.

Bear in mind also that the Pre-Flight area utilizes a lot of views and views can often be a suspect area where missing clickspots are concerned.

So we'll see what Scott comes up with, for the 'proper' fix, but it is interesting that after approx 10 attempted flights, where I used the Pre-Flight pretty much straight away, and then lost clickspots within minutes, I then perform my 11th attempted flight, don't use the Pre-Flight utility, and get no disappearing clickspots.

I pointed out in a thread on the A2A forum that tie downs and wheel chocks weren't being saved on a saved flight. They suggested that they could add it, and it was pointed out to me that the 'auto cold & dark' setting takes care of it.  Might need a bit more playing around with to see what is saved and what isn't, but they may be willing to accomodate.

Re: Getting stuck on the grass. Has anyone brought this subject up? http://forum.avsim.net/topic/392772-inherent-flaw-of-fsx-to-give-too-much-ground-friction/

I have the friction.lua thingy and maybe it's a coincidence, but I have no trouble with grass or gravel.

A thought.

Nah, a few of us have tried that on the A2A forum Ron..... as in, I have that mod is use too, and have also tried reverting to standard; but still have the problem either way... :(

The latest thinking at the A2A site is that this is nothing to do with ground friction as first suspected, but looks like brakes sticking on, under some circumstances.

Have you tried taxiing uphill on a sloped runway? Flat grass strips I find not that bad, but on sloped runways I can't get it too move.

If you can use it on sloped runways, then I think I'll will try that .lua thing..

But right now I have run into bigger problems, CTD, clickspot issues :( (happend after i tested that "Cold and dark" function)

@kaboki;   Plenty of us are using the FSUIPC .Lua tweak for ground friction - and still seeing the issue here... :(

I doubt it will fix it for you.

Ah ok, but now Im really concerned. After hitting that "Cold & dark" function FSX CTD's everytime at around 1 minute in flight!!!

Now im starting to get ###### off, and feel like Im a freaking beta tester. My plane is now 100% useless

You should post your crash report from the Event Viewer or by using the application called AppCrashView.  There may be something completely different causing your crashes.  Seeing a crash report would also help any developer determine whether his product has a problem or the user has a problem with their system setup.  There are a lot of crashes caused simply by overclocking.  Just a suggestion.

Jim

My apoligies to A2A, the CTD was infact caused by a combo of my saitek panels and me going into menus while ingame, so lets just call it a user error:p. Im somewhat calmed down again  I just get so easely frustrated, and sometimes that can reflect on these forums,,, I never learn do I

One thing worth mentioning though is that i'm able to replicate the "clickspot" issue by using the "Cold & dark" function. Works for me everytime:) Maybe that could be to some help for the A2A devs?

Kaboki - Try a flight in the C172 but do not open or use the Pre-Flight Panel (Shift+8) at all...... just don't open that pop up window............. and see if you get the clickspots failing.....

I was getting clickspots failing after 2 min; and I can now make 2 hour flight;  as long as I don't use the Pre-Flight (Shift+8) window at all.

Scott has finished the HOTFIX for it but you have to request it by PM from him (A2A Forums) and I haven't managed to get it yet.

EDIT

Ok - I have Scott's HOTFIX for the Clickspots, and I am testing it now.

Most of my flights I haven't used that preflight check because it's flawed(many functions don't work and as it is now it seems more like a gimick)... But have not yet had any clickspot issue(by itself), but if I press that "Cold & Dark" function, voila, no clickspots. When i restart FSX the issue is gone, so it works a little different on my system and I can decide for myself if I want the bug or not B)
