Airbus X Extended 1.15 released

Featured Replies

Very quietly ...

... the locked version of Multi Crew Experience (locked to the Aerosoft extended Airbus v1.15) has been released.

It's available from the Aerosoft FAQ/Updates database.

Only announcement I've found so far is the Aerosoft shop page (U.S. store version only).

Installation and configuration was easy. MCE interacts nicely with the Airbus and the PF (me!!!). Love the voices of Yvonne ( ) and Dieter (  :P  )!

Thanks for the Heads Up Olli

....but meh... MCE and it's robotic, jerky voices!   FS2Crew for the win!

Any of you know if it is now  possible to turnoff the logo lights ? I can't turn them off.Btw what is the point of fs2crew  ?  axx has already a copilot of sorts ?

There are two kinds of MCE voices, Dave: 'Dieter' belongs to the rather fluent speakers - if it wasn't for his awful German accent!

Well, I love the FS2Crew edition myself a lot; still I'll check the MCE feature to provide voice control for RadarContact.

I use the natural voices and they are not robotic at all. I hesitated a long time on MCE because of feedback like that, and fortunately I eventually decided to buy it anyway. So glad I did.

Where,Olli? Just looked for it. Cannot find it.

My problem with it is that, even with the human voices, the playback seems choppy and jerky.  Some phrasing slightly overlapping, etc........ just very unpolished compared to FS2Crew.

I have the full version of MCE and I only ever use it for interaction with ATC

Different strokes for different folks I guess. I have both and enjoy MCE a lot better.

What FS2Crew does is give you a co-pilot who performs the Pilot Not Flying flows i.e. HE "presses" the buttons not you. You both then perform the checklists.  You can voice command him to do various things from the trivial (switch on the wipers) to the important (set the autopilot or lower the gear).  Again, he presses the buttons, not you.

I haven't used the ASX co-pilot because I also use FS2Crew.  However, I believe that just reads checklists doesn't it?  It's still unrealistic in that you have to press all the buttons and turn all the knobs, which isn't the case in real life.

No, you can set the AAX co-pilot to press buttons too. She performs all the same functions I believe that can be done in FS2Crew. From what I have heard, there just is some slight differences in what's performed when and such. I don't know for sure as I have yet to buy FS2Crew. Mostly due to I think the one that comes with the bus to be very good on its own.

That is so not true.

The standard F/O facility in the Airbus is good, really good, but it has about 5% of the total functionality of the FS2Crew AXE version.
