I think PMDG is staying away from military variants, so I doubt a Wedgie of P-8 will happen. Best bet is for freeware models to be FSX native and merge the PMDG VC with them.

As far as the BBJ, what exactly sets it apart from a 737WL? Payload would be different sure, but a configuration manager would cover that.

I really doubt it would be THAT difficult to model the Wedgetail. They sort of did a similar thing with the 747-8i, where it was basically just a new external model and not much else. The same could be done for the Wedgetail - extra antenna's, etc without the need for new aerodynamics or engine performance code. It would just be an external visual update. Pretty easy, actually.

Also the BBJ 700 has the wings and gear off the 800, which is where the 700ER came from.

BBJ (any variante) would be very, very appreciated !

Everyone keeps stating the 200LR only has one engine type..

But on the Boeing specification site it states that the 200LR Worldliner can be delivered with 2 engine type's

GE90-110B1

110,100 lb (489 kN)

GE90-115BL

115,300 lb (512 kN)

The point was they chose the -110B version for the -200LR which is common to the -300ER. Hence one engine for three sims.

Although the -115B is physically the same engine it would need a different set of performance data for the FMC.

Not quite correct, the -110B is only available as an option on the -200LR and -F, the -300ER is only delivered with the GE90-115B engine.

Only a two or three airlines IRL (Ethiopian and some cargo airline) use -115Bs on the -200LR or -F, so probably not worth PMDG's time to model it on that aircraft.

  Yes, sorry, you're right of course. The only possible common rating would be the -115B and that doesn't make much sense for the -200LR sim. What was I thinking of??

A BBJ model would be fantastic

You must see this from a business perspective - will the BBJ/ER packs offer enough interest to recoup the production costs? IMO, I don't think they will. Whilst there may be a collection of interest here, you must remember you are but a fraction of the overall simming community. I'd like an -ER pack, I wouldn't actually use it much as I only really do VA flying and my VA doesn't use the -ER variants.

I would seriously appreciate it if PMDG would clarify their stance on the NGX SP2 and -900ER etc.

Why would you tell us you are going to release it in the future and then go silent and ignore our requests more than two years after release?

If PMDG aren't going to bother, you might as well just tell us so rather than leave us patiently awaiting something that will never arrive....  <_<

You have a valid point but I think that they would've thought about that before they announced it as a possibility

Unless they only figured out it wouldnt be worth it after

Perhaps it is because they haven't come to a decision yet on how to proceed further.  As far as the SP goes, there are several threads mentioning that it will incorporate some of the advantages picked up from the 777.  It would make sense to iron out all of the issues of the 777 in order to incorporate the advantages of it into the NGX, would it not?  Why bother talking about it (other than what's already been said), until that point?  I really don't understand why people here on the forum need to be told the same thing over and over again.

"Can you please update us on the Project B?"

It is meant to do X, Y and Z, and will likely come after Project A.

"Can you please update us on the Project B?"

No changes/updates.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE ENDOFWORLD RABBLE!"

Last I checked, knowing or not knowing wasn't harming anyone other those who have to put up with the petulant whining about it.  Can someone explain why it's such a huge deal that they haven't added any information?

Boeing announced an SST years and years ago.  They later backed out after determining that there was a lack of a clear market.  See where I'm going with that?

(No, I'm not trying to get anyone to read between the lines about what PMDG will or will not do - simply stating that announcing things and then backing out later on isn't new in aviation)

The problem with that view is the example of J41 SP2. Initially talked of as coming after the NGX was released then not talked about for months, then officially dropped after continued speculation in the forum. I'm not saying NGX SP2 will go the same way, but not mentioning it at all will unsettle people.

I think a reiteration that NGX SP2 will happen once 777X SP1 is out would therefore be very welcome. Further expansions and future project releases are a different matter, no customers have anything invested in them but their hopes. Support of the NGX basepack through to SP2 is important to all existing customers.
