As much as I think it is horrible. If emailing Credit Card information wasn't enough of a red flag to realize "Hey, this might be one of those online scams." Then I hate to say it, but said person had it coming to them. 

 

The existence of victims is all the more reason that site needs to be taken down ASAP.

 

Said victims should contact their bank and their cards call center to try to cancel those before they get charged for some ridiculous amount.

I had a situation where we were looking to buy a book on Kindle Fire ("Fate is the Hunter") and it turned out to be not the original, which doesn't seem to be available as an e-book anywhere, but a Cliff's Notes version by someone else.  After we found the book, the owner of the Kindle bought and downloaded it for me, as I was busy talking to a doctor who just came in.  If I'd been able to look a bit harder at the descriptions and checked the reviews, I'd have known it was basically a scam.  My friend didn't know any of this.  Luckily she was able to get her money back.  So I got "Buffalo Airways" instead... a good read in the hospital.

Well, darnit!  We weren't able to find it anywhere.  I thought I did a thorough search when I got home, too.  No, the version we had was subtitled something like "A Summary".  With any luck it's been removed from the buy list on Kindle.
