@Daveo: why is that query so different than the one I posted above?

I was using a program I have called SmartWhois.

Release is limited?  Really?  LOL

Seems they are deleting all the negative Facebook comments except someone called "Pravin"  Wonder if he is part of the scam?

The one word comment I made seven hours ago is still there:

Scam

I hit the Report button while there as well, and marked it as a "scam"...

LOL I've seen 419 scams with better grammer than this.

This was one of the reasons why I interviewed Olli from NLS...the scam is quite obvious, and I truly feel for the guys at NLS, all the work they put into their development, and the screenshots put on their page in good faith to show their progress, all hijacked in a few seconds by someone else.

Hopefully simmers' awareness will ensure the scam does not succeed.

You'd expect the finance minister of Nigeria to be fairly well educated.  :)

I wonder what happens when the real guy emails someone.

Odd grammar and spelling is not a good touchstone for scams.  Some legitimate developers aren't fluent in English.  On the other hand, I've met plenty of people online with English as a second language, and their grammar and spelling is better than mine.  Then they apologize for their bad grammar and spelling.  Go figure.  Oh wait, are they trying to tell me something??

Definitely our website text copied/modified here. I've let RSR know and maybe we'll be able to do something about it - we'll see. If it's really in Iran or something like that then there's probably nothing that can be done though unfortunately.

Pretty hilarious seeing all the references to Boeing nomenclature and systems in the description of an Airbus product... that right there will be enough to prevent knowledgeable people from buying this at least.

I feel bad though for the newbies that might jump on it.

I guess Boeing must have written the charts for the A380 since this add-on is within 5 percent of  Boeing engine and flight model charts...     LOL

No worries. They don't even have a "Buy Now" button on their website.

If they setup a paypal page, it will be filled with disputes later on so they won't be able to get away with the money that easy.

If they convince people to send CC details on email, that's a little different. Anyone tried the 'contact us' to see if the scammers respond to that?

Should have added it in my first post:

Go here  -> https://www.facebook.com/genuinesimulation

Hit the report button and select 'scam' -> send. -Done.

Actually Paypal is very open to abuse.

I collect/build scale model aircraft. Back in 2010 a guy registered on a modellers forum I visit and made a post in the "for sale" section. He made a long list of quite desirable and sought after kits at very attractive prices. He collected over £600 in payments to his Paypal account. Nobody got the stuff they paid for, Paypal said they couldn't recover the money as the bank account linked to the account was empty. Paypal wouldn't divulge the guy's details unless the police requested them. The police weren't interested. All we knew was he posted from a 3G mobile net connection in London, and he used a Hotmail email address for his forum registration and Paypal account.

Lesson learned on my part. Luckily I only lost £25 but some other guys lost a lot more. It was the first time somebody had abused the forum in that way and now you have to have over 100 posts before you are allowed to sell stuff there, and even then there's a big warning at the top of the forum warning people that Paypal isn't as safe as they want us to think.

Hmm, that's true. I came in to buy some shoes today, checked Amazon and the extremely popular website "Zappos". Both stopped accepting payments with Paypal. Actually, it looks like Paypal is losing it's game, especially with a big player like Amazon leaving them.

Paypal definitely isn't as safe as they want us to believe. If you're familiar with how Paypal works it can be abused very easily, as my example above shows.

Probably the safest way to shop online is with a credit card where you've got the option of doing a charge back if things don't work out. The only problem there is if you make too many charge backs you'll probably find your credit card account will get closed and you'll be black listed by credit card companies.
