April 23, 201610 yr There are a very few minor details missing in an otherwise incredibly deep simulation. All of which are going to be added soon and all of which have been explained clearly by the developer. For this level of sim $75 is a very fair price. I once had a very disappointing experience with broken promises what would be delivered after the release (da and the Fokker vc), so I am very careful now. I know how difficult it is to keep up the same motivation for working after you have released and got the money. Yes, what I see so far is promising but I really don't understand why, after 5 years, they are now in such a hurry for release. A completion of these 'few minor things missing' (it's actually a very, very long list with Imo more than only small unimportant items) and a couple of weeks longer certainly would have hurt nobody. So i will be waiting and see how it 'progresses' ( pun intended...) Regards, Chris Volle i7700k @ 4,7, 32gb ram, Win10, MSI GTX1070.
April 23, 201610 yr We can't, I think, compare the MSFS's market to the X-Plane 10 market. This certainly plays a major role in the pricing of add-ons. A team working on a complex aircraft, like this 737 certainly is, or the SaaB 340 which is most probably close to it in terms of complexity, and entered my to-buy list long before the iXEG 737 Classic, and so, will also be bought before the 737 whenever possible for me, must spend a "little fortune", and that fortune has to be payed somehow. In between projects, X-Aviation, which I believe we can all accept is a major developer for the X-Plane platform, I would say a reference, must be a "nightmare" to steer... I wouldn't really like to be in Cameron's position, in the inter-release betweens.... So, I think the point-of-view must be adapted for us users. I am a very critic guy about X-plane, but in the end I really love the sim and it's many pluses, startting with the flight dynamics. But I also know that bringing an aircraft close to a high level of quality must be terrible. All I can do, if I want to support the platform, and hope for a bright future ( which I believe X-plane 10 and 11 will certainly achieve ) is supporting also all of those developers producing products I would like to have. Ok, so, some of the functionalities aren't yet implemented, but as we can see from the youtubes what is available is already simply Gorgeous. Add too it the fact that for instance Tom's MU-2J, released long ago, continues to receive updates, and it is actually still one of my preferred add-ons for X-plane, meaning, i do not fear that their promises of including those features will not be acomplished. It's a question of time, and they really work hard I am sure! It's a remarkable project, comparable only to the SaaB 340 and the upcoming DC-6, I believe. It's a very good sim platform with future and continuous support for years, even if many times I don't really love the way it ( the support ) works out their wonders... So... give them a break, and, if we really like the 737 Classic ( I certainly do ) support them because that's the only way of giving the whole producers behind X-Plane a reason not to give up. April 23, 201610 yr Dang, I ordered a paperback copy of that manual on Thursday for almost twice the price of the download version (inc postage). Oh well, its nice to have a hard copy I guess. I'd looked at it on Amazon after seeing it mentioned by the IXEG developers. It looks like a really good book. Also I think the videos done by Jan over the last couple of years have been great (such as the 4 part flight to JFK) and if the tutorials with the plane are similar to that it should be great. Now release it  Tony Holmes xplane 12, MSFS, Windows 10, Ryzen 5600x, 32gb, RX 6800XT.
April 23, 201610 yr Moderator Goes to x-aviation and hits buy now, not in stock yet, doh!!!. I guess I'll have to wait till it's morning it the US or tomorrow. But hey, what's an extra day's wait :-)
April 23, 201610 yr a couple of weeks longer certainly would have hurt nobody. So i will be waiting and see how it 'progresses' ( pun intended...) I don't know if we are really talking about a couple of weeks longer.I think some of these items are more on a To Be Determined schedule. If is extremly hard to predict how long it will take to solve none trivial problems. If you wait too long it wouldn#t be ready before X-Plane 11, which would mean: rewrite parts of the plane... April 23, 201610 yr Moderator I don't get why the price is 75USD, people are saying its cheap for what it is but think about the systems depth of the NGX... The IXEG 737 - at this time - advised by the developers doesnt model the PROG page of the FMC nor does it model HOLDs entered manually by the pilot... And it doesn't have TCAS either? It is pricey for an addon, but I also believe that this is going to set a new bar for X-Plane and addons. It's normally more than I'd pay for a game/sim, but judging how long it's taken them to develop it, they have my support. I've not taken to any other heavies on X-Plane, but this looks absolutely superb. The B733 has now been released. Just tried to buy it again. The site went down as it was processing the payment. Think I'll wait till later :-)
April 23, 201610 yr Give it a couple of days.... Clean all of your Custom Scenery folder for an even smoother ride :-) That's what I just did - preparing for the SaaB 340, which I must buy before the 737 - this one will wait for my aniversary :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

April 23, 201610 yr Moderator It's up and down and up and down Whoever thought an X-Plane addon could take a site down ;-)
April 23, 201610 yr Website is back online. You can buy it, but you can't download yet (the download counter is being used up when you try to, but the file is not on the server yet). Regards, Radek
