Folks,

this isn't "nothing for 2/6 months":

RSR called me up today Ollie to take a look at the 300ER/200LR SP1 progress behind the scenes.  He says he'll have another late night update posting soon, but unfortunately he wouldn't let me take any pix of the PMDG team in action.  He was kind enough to let me photograph the sign in front of the building which is cleverly disguised as a collision center on the outside.  Trust me, you won't find anything broken on the inside, just one sleek operation

Man these guys are good B)

This is a very great post. And I completely agree on this topic...

......wait until they start ripping on spelling and punctuation. Then it gets even better....

Good use of full stops ....Adrian.  BTW, I am not a member of the PMDG " Good 'ol boys club"

I sorta agree, but the long wait also adds to the suspense and excitement, and then they will start teasing us with the 747v2 for a few months before it comes out. Heh.

I would much rather wait a few extra weeks, we have already been waiting so long, and know that the update that im installing are going to fix or enhance my experience and immersion of the PMDG777, than loading a SP only to find that something else has gone haywire.

Even though we bought the original product, there is no gaurantee that we will get the SP from PMDG, you wanted a specific program, they created it(which  is bloody good), you bought it out of free will. They dont owe you one cent.

Just my 2 pence!!

I will say nothing more than this:

I guarantee that your patience will be greatly rewarded by what you'll be getting from this SP.

...for free, mind you - gratis, nichts, und so weiter.

They do owe us the sp Marius.  We paid for the product it doesn't work properly we expect it to be fixed no matter what the time frame is. So you're saying you buy something like a new car from a dealership it breaks down a few days later you wouldn't ask the dealership to fix the car.? Or is it your own fault not the dealers that you bought it on your own free will? Say it isn't so? Just my 3 cents.

That is a pretty poor analogy. The product works fine but needs some refinement.  A friend of mine purchased an Audi A1 from a a guy we know who is an Audi dealer.  This dealer explained that the car would require software updates to the engine management system.

Bottom line is he had to wait till the update was ready, the car drove fine without it.

I find interesting how simmers love to always wait for something, refreshing forum hour after hour expecting to read new product/SP is released, or there is just a new information about progress of developing add-on. When the product is finally released, crowd just moves to next product to be released and continue their waiting session in the endless circle, so I wonder if they actually bothered to use product they've waited for so long.

The analogy that I used fits just fine with regards to the post above it. There are more then a few simmers that have said the plane is unflyable for them. My point was that if you buy something and it doesn't work properly you probably want it to be fixed. Hence you already making point with the refresh to your friends car.

How the aircraft is unflyable?

Exactly, I think some people need to take a look at their setups. SP1 wont be a magic cure for those that run tons of addon's on sub standard hardware and a bloated OS.

Only issue I have come across in 180 hours is the FBW in manual flight, definitely needs work since the pitch law behaves like an Airbus in some aspects.
