No, nothing is going to be switched. That error has come up quite offen and I think is somehow owed to the forum software. It's simply a database table crash.

Anyway, a lot of users got it working using the network tutorial so I do not think that is too difficult. Perhaps you could provide some more information, e.g. if you got an error message etc.

I think that's your voice you are hearing in the background. What's up with your post? The moderators at ProATC are trying to help you out and you come over here and complain about the same thing? You don't like the help you are getting there? I have banned you from making any further comments in this topic. I think you are just trolling.

Hi Jim,

if I remember correctly razalom means a controller keeps saying "negative" after a request. This was already adressed in the main forum but actually we cannot look into it.

So I assume razalom wasn't complaining but rather repeating a controller's statement.

Best regards,

Torsten

There is no "negative" response from a controller in ProATC-X... I think that is what the beta tester and ProATC moderator was saying in his response too.

hey Torsten, i did post last night over at PRO ATC forum, and not sure if it even went through because moderators need to check it first.By the time i went back forum was down. I don't get any errors, just a box comes up and says "cannot connect to FSX." This was on both setups. I have the stand alone version 1.4 that i received from Clive. I originally had it set up as a network config, only, installing on client PC. installed all the SDK plus upgrades, all forlders and files are shared. FSX drive is mapped, made the 3 simconnect files, pinged my network PC's.I got no errors except " not able to connect to FSX.". So then i decided to uninstall PRO ATC on the client PC. cleaned out reg. entries. Then I installed on my FSX PC, had to re-activate with my activation key, no problem, again set everything up, rebuilt scenery data . set up path to FSX folder  (C/FSX). set up a flight, clicked fly now.....and get the same " not able to connect to FSX" this is on the same PC as FSX..... I'm lost...why can't i connect?...And forums are still down!!!!

Itching to get up and away but stuck at clearance. Unfortunately the forum is down. Will some kind soul explain why I can't progress beyond clearance? I think ATC just gave up and went home for the day!

Are your coms tuned to clearance?

To break myself in gently, I am following the PMDG 737NGX tutorial from EGKK to EHAM. I did switch the coms on the radio and, by typing in 1, the flight menu appears from which the flight clearance is actually given. No acknowledgement of the clearance is given by the pilot and no further mention of start and push back given by the controller. A link has been given to rectify this problem elsewhere in this thread but the forum is down.

Dutch1,

for a short test could you please disable your firewall? If this happens even on a single network pc I guess something is blocking a connection.

In case the FW is the culprit please allow proatcx.exe.

Don't forget to enable FW after test!

For those getting stucked at clearance please download this file and unzip it into the main proatc/x folder. Then retry.

Just to let you know the PROATC/X main forum is back online!

Best regards,

Torsten

I appreciate the effort to help out.

I have a feeling, that razalom has a real problem, that we need to sort out. The problem is a unique one and may require some time and sweat to solve.

This is why I wish, that we could do it in one place. Having said that. I tried earlier to log into ProATC forum's and got an error telling me that the forum is down. No everything seems to be up again.

@razalom: If you happen to be reading, I and other team members will try to figure out what is happening after we get a log to help us out.

Thanks!

Okay. Ban lifted. Thanks.

Thanks, Torsten,

The download file has now cured the stuck at clearance problem.

I think the new up date has come a long. The biggest issue i have is the nagging about heading when you have a cross wind. They said that is was a minor problem but

for me it is almost a deal breaker as on a long flight i have to take my head phones off.

That being said pro atc is almost there.

Sorry I didnt reply straight away but I went out for the day with my family and then when I got home I went to sleep (Yeah I like in Australia) so that makes me a troll?

Anyway after re-installing the program again to no effect I installed it at its default C Drive location and it now works.

From EGFF to YSSY

Did any body reviewed it yet?

I'm thinking of buying it but I'm still having some doubts about the program..

Could use some advice from you guys!  ^_^
