November 29, 201411 yr If the "follow me car" can come to you where ever you are. Maybe the de-icers can be made to just go where the plane is (not just at a gate). Then you make up your own pad by taxiing to an isolated spot. Kevin M. Manley
November 29, 201411 yr Ethylene Glycol is very toxic. This is not true. November 29, 201411 yr Commercial Member Hi Umberto, unfortunately still having the same problem after getting auto update today. For reference my push-back has always been set to "Both". Again, please be sure that, if you touch ANYTHING (even NOT related to pushback) in the scenery customization page, the pushback will not work for that session, until you select "Restart Couatl". THIS is the only outstanding bug, which is confirmed and will obviously be fixed too, the restart it's just a momentarily workaround. Nice video, thanks. Maybe I am picky, but shouldn't there be liquid run off? And we all know how good the FSX graphic engine from 2006 is at modeling fluids effects...you know...those things that can't even usually done with "just" shaders and require something like a PhysX support... I'll double check Umberto, but I'm fairly confident I didn't touch anything on the customization page. I was testing at Aerosoft's Tromso, but I'll try another airport. Cheers, Rob.
November 30, 201411 yr This is not true. Letal dose for humans is about three ounces ... though you can say it is harmful. Ethylene Glycol has been banned for use in automotive coolant because of its toxicity. Animals and small children are drawn to the sweet taste and it only takes half a teaspoon for a painful and drawn out death in most dogs. Ric Elmore
December 1, 201411 yr I've been flying almost all of my flights in the NGX and DHQ4 around Alaska lately. This update really ads a to the immersion, and makes you focus a little more on icing checks. Enjoying it very much, and glad FSDT kept their word that deicing would eventually be available. Soooo... What are we missing in FSX now? I seriously can't think of anything else at this point... December 1, 201411 yr Fire Engines! Just read the FSDT Manual about YouControl after purchasing my first 4 of their sceneries and it mentions emergencies etc, how cool would it be to use the GSX menu at an FSDT airport with YouControl and declare emergency and fire engines come up (like the GSX follow me car) and then follow you to the stand - they could be linked like the follow me car so you select the stand and one leads and rest follow behind the aircraft... Just an idea Would work well with Emergency NGX etc and add another layer to it all
December 1, 201411 yr What would really be nice, but I guess you would have to work with individual addons. like PMDG, is FSDT work with them to add consequences to forgetting to deice. Like build in the aircraft that if the plne wasn't deiced within a time of takeoff (In icing condition of course) it reduced it's ability to climb. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
December 1, 201411 yr Yeah the consequences is definitely a long term hope but I think the fire engines and things like that can be done right now and are quite easily achievable.

I've toasted the brakes on my airliners a couple times (the PMDG 777's brakes will even glow red when you do) so it would be fun to get a fire truck to come out and spray my brakes for cooling. There's an option for brake cooling maintenance in the FMC but of course no ground crew are actually animated. Ethan Edelson
December 1, 201411 yr Commercial Member I would like to see the guys/gals that walk along the wing tips with a wand pointed up, while you are being pushed back out of the gate. As it stands, only the guy that connects/disconnects the pushback truck is being displayed walking next to you. Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️
December 1, 201411 yr I would like different voice packs for the pushback crew. I like how AES handles it, based on the ICAO code it activates a couple language packs, so landing in France you get French accented English for example.
December 2, 201411 yr Commercial Member Maybe precipitfx can do it? We are considering it right now. After looking at some videos posted on YouTube and screenshots from the community... We are in real need of new effects for this one... Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.
