December 10, 201411 yr Hello ASN with REX OD textures in FSX ASN is extremely smooth with no hit on frame rate. I use REX with P3D because the license was only 5$ but I struggle with the interface which is not as simple as ASN My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/

December 10, 201411 yr We made a lot of changes to REX Essential Plus/OD in SP3 which was just released recently. I would suggest you take another look. We completely re-wrote the weather engine from scratch and feel it is very competitive to what is on the market. We are getting A LOT of positive feedback. I'm confused. You rewrote the weather engine from scratch for REX Essential Plus/OD in SP3, but at the same time you're working REX Weather Direct which is according to your site still in development and far superior than anything in the market? That doesn't add up to me. John Miles
December 10, 201411 yr Commercial Member @levada - Thank you for your question. The answer is simple - customers! There are many users that use REX Essential Plus/OD (aka REX 3). We want to continue to show our support for our customers as well as make some very much needed upgrades. Since we released REX 3, we have learned a lot. We implemented a lot of those changes and fixes in the new SP3. To implement those changes we had to re-write the weather engine from scratch. REX 4 Weather Direct/Weather Architect are completely different and will utilize our new Weather Force API that we have built. December 10, 201411 yr I was under the impression that ASN fully supports P3D as well?? yes you are right. the licence is valid for both FSX and P3D since SP1 was released.I was not aware of that .ASN did not work with p3D when I bought the REX license for P3D I may try ASN with P3D now. Thank you. My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/

I don't own REX 3, but I can give you my compliments for the fact that you as a developer don't ignore your current customers. It's not a minor thing you did either, when you decide to re-write the weather engine from scratch. John Miles

December 11, 201411 yr I might have a look at the Rex 3 Service Pack 3 and see how it compares with ASN.
December 11, 201411 yr OpusFSI for Buttkicker Support, cannot play without it  And DHM. Its incredible how just a tiny weeny little jiggle of the screen can add so much to immersion. I tried ASN and really liked it but felt I was flying on rails, to sterile ZORAN
