Hi all,

Our products have all been tested by Fr. Bill and we can confirm that they all seem to work.  It's a given that we will be making sure that all of our newer products will be available and work for all three sims.

We have also created a Steam group here :  http://steamcommunity.com/groups/miltiary_visualizations

Thanks!

Confirmed here, too.

C310R, B55, 732 - all installed and running fine in FSX:SE.

If FSX is working fine for you, why would you install FSX-SE and have all these addon issues. Not sure if I understand, if you are not a new FSX user why you would even bother with installing FSX-SE unless you want the multiplay function

Many reasons; to move to a Cloud-based provision for the sim (and addons), rather than depending on physical discs printed 9 years ago, some integrated fixes (a couple appearing to provide better performance, although there's nothing 'scientific' on that yet), as a Back-up to the DVD versions.     At $5, there are many, many reasons to pick it up.

I bought it purely as a backup to my DVD version, but after installing it, and some key addons, I am seeing better performance, and increased smoothness.    I can't back it up with anything scientific at this point,  but I think the Steam Edition version may perform far better for ATI card users, than boxed FSX (and certainly than P3D2 which is a dog with ATI cards),

Here's an important one :-

MAJESTIC Q400

Installs automatically and correctly (as long as you've installed FSX:SE last, it automatically locates the FSX:SE location from registry.  Functions perfectly, EXCEPT, no sounds at all  (no engine sounds, custom sounds, exterior sounds - nothing).

Could do with someone else testing this, as I have had problems with sound with this aircraft before.    I installed v1.10 installer then the v1.11 patch.

UPDATE:-   I uninstalled V1.11, and instead installed v1.08 (Majestic gave me an offline installer version of this a couple of weeks ago, due to having problems with v1.10).   Majestic Q400 v1.08 working perfectly (with all sounds), in FSX:SE!

I actually suspect v1.11 will probably work fine in FSX:SE for most people - as I believe the sound problems are at my end, and are not connected with FSX:SE.

Can I have a very clear yes or no, regarding FSX.SE being able to run in DX10 mode by use of Steve's commercial Fixer v2.5?

If I couldn't run FSX.SE in DX10 mode as the boxed FSX...then I would have to wait until it could.  So, folks...does it?  Right now, it's purchased, but sitting uninstalled.

You didn't read my post above I guess...

It does, without any problems

As above post about Majestic Q400 working ok for me in FSX:SE but with no sounds ..... I installed an earlier version (v1.08) and it works perfectly in FSX:SE (with all sounds).     I think the current version will work fine in FSX:SE for others too, as I believe the sound issue was local to my machine.

So now my happy FSX:SE world is a perfect VFR playground, but also has a lovely Q400 to play with when I fancy something bigger!

A2A Cub + Accusim are fine.

On a system with both versions of FSX, UTX Canada appears to be installed correctly when pointed to the FSX-SE directory, but when enabled, it activates its features in the boxed FSX version, so there's no change in the FSX-SE picture. According to the UTX configuration interface, the "registry" location is the original FSX location, and the "installed" location is the FSX-SE location.  The "registry" location appears to be the only one that matters when it comes to activating features.

I have tested so far:

scenery: Aerosoft Island Hopping (Inselhüpfen) works ok

planes:

- Wilco: Cessna Citation X  works ok

-Just Flight: Tiger Moth   works ok

-Just Flight DC-6   works ok

- Aerosoft Katana DA20-100  installs ok- not tested in flight yet

Please Note -  There have been numerous posts hidden in this thread that have nothing to do with 3rd party compatibility. It has been asked that this thread be kept on topic so I'm making that request once again.

This thread will be very valuable to those that search for compatibility so let's not junk it up. OK?

Thanks.

Thank you.

Rick

dx 10 fixer

Hi can you post how this works thanks

Since I asked about it earlier in this thread, I can also confirm that DX10Fixer 2.6 works with FSX SE. The other qualifier that people might want to add to their posts is whether they have installed FSX SE in parallel with the FSX CD version ,or whether they have only FSX SE installed. It seems to make a difference to certain 3rd party installers.

Yes, that's very true and valid.

I've just been reading on the Orbx forum how apparantly people who have installed FSX:SE alongside (and after) the boxed FSX seem to be having the best time, where installations and file paths are concerned...

(this is what I did.   I was going to unistalled boxed FSX today, but I'm now scared to!!  ).

People who uninstalled FSX (or never had it installed in the first place), and just installed FSX:SE, seem to be having the problems where some installers are not automatically finding the FSX:SE file path.

FSPassengers

Does not work. Error:

"Your version of FsX is unknown, you must have at least SP1 or SP2 or Acceleration installed - aborting FsPassenger - FsPassenger will now exit"

By force changing the version number of fsx.exe appears a new error:

"Error EXDX: 569097 - Aborting FsPassengers"
