Must See! REX Soft Clouds

Hi Novation,

I answered Vic in our forum.

but I don't see why we could not have soft clouds, even if they are rendered at 4096. The texture resolution does not mean edges have to be hard does it?

We are in fact developing these in HD, B) more information soon! Definitely a free update for all who have purchased.

Anyway, I bought REX SC as Tim stated they will integrate them at some point into REX4 TD and allow those who have bought Soft Clouds to use them in REX4 (I think anyway) ... regardless I am happy with the £7 I spent on them, and find I use these these as a nice alternative to the more hard edge versions in REX4. Variety is the spice of life, right?

We are beta testing the integration now. More info on that soon as well.

@everyone, thank you for your kind words. Great stuff ahead.

Cheers!

I bought it and I like it. It looks considerably better and way more realistic when flying through the clouds. BAM!

Mah, soft clouds are beautiful, but after several tests it is sure that the intensity of the clouds shadows is decreased tremendously in P3D 2.4.

Thank you for the info Tim. Keep up the cool work you do.

We haven't noticed that. After watching the video, I can't imagine the shadows being any darker!

Which set have you used?

Sorry to hijack forum slightly.

I have recently purchased REX soft clouds (already own REX Essentials). I want to verify the product but seem to be blocked from the REX forums.

Could you check on this please.

By the way I have been using FEX for some time, but now REX SC is defo my favourite!

Soft Clouds + the P3D tweak to fix clouds + Active Sky Next = Nirvana

Up until i got this equation right...i never had seen a SOLID overcast in fsx or P3D.

Hi Pete

Yes I have looked there, and this the crux of the matter. I can't see how I enter my details into the forum topic.

I'm beginning to think that senility is catching up with me!!!!

Can you guide me please?

I know I'm going to kick myself when I find out.

Thanks in advance.

Pete

First of all were you able to get in the link that I gave you if you can, all you need to do is click on the last page number than click the reply option on the top right hand side  and it will bring you to the post box.  This where you enter where you purchased rex  and your order details  not  your serial number  than it takes a day or  so to get verified once verified  you will get a verified member written below your icon

This is a public thread nd anyone should be able  post in here for verification
