Viewing charts while in full screen.

Featured Replies

Dear:

While I am in full screen mode, how can I see charts etc.? If I minimize, see them & come back to flight sim, it is clumsy and inconvenient. Is there anything else I can do?

I have mine as PDF files and use my 10 inch tablet. You can also use a laptop or second computer.

If you move to fsx steam...apparently the steam overlay has a full browser which you can view your charts in while still interacting with your aircraft. In fsx boxed you either have to run windowed and run maps charts etc on another monitor or alt+enter out of full screen...which has erm...random stability issues...

I just bought an Ipad, makes a world of difference

An ipad or second computer is the best way to go.  I have mine on an old computer that I also use to run ASN, ACARS, etc.

I simply use a second monitor.  You just open, drag and drop = amd maybe re-size.  It is absolutely wonderful.

I use my wife's old Kindle Fire and run Navigraph charts cloud on it....

What do you mean that in FSX Steam have a browser? To view pdf?

I believe shift+tab brings up the steam overlay (browser)...from there you can go to any chart related site (airnav etc) to look up charts.

Best solution is PDF Kneeboard but on Steam it only works in windowed mode. Have you got any solution?

It works in windowed mode, what do you mean for borderless?

PDF Kneeboard screws up my anti-aliasing.
