April 19, 201511 yr Where do you download the additional liveries? Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. April 19, 201511 yr At the official forums http://jardesign.org/forum/viewforum.php?id=4 And some are also on the Org but I think they're the same
April 19, 201511 yr richard / charles thanks to you both for your notes. i'm still guessing here but it seems the core commands are xplane defaults but that pumps/power/avionics/rotaries etc. may be custom commands not compiled into a plugin by the developer ..... as done in the FF757. even with the FF757, it is not advertised as being included ... just mentioned in a post about setting the ap disconnect. i prefer to use trackIR which to me means i need keys & buttons to minimise mouse use. for now, cheers john martin
April 20, 201511 yr Well grabbed it last night and so far so good. Downloaded a heap of liveries as well. Only 1 issue I have found is that at some airports when I select to get the ground vehicles I can see them briefly appear and then they disappear. From EGFF to YSSY
April 24, 201511 yr Purchased it last week. Didn't get around to flying it until today. Set up my views with the wonderful X-Camera 2.0 and Track IR. What a nice aircraft. Just finished a YSSY - YBBN flight in a Qantas A330. Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. April 25, 201511 yr Having recently migrated from FSX to X-Plane, I have only Ramzzess' 777 installed. I value eye candy a lot, and looking at the shots of this bird, the cockpit textures looks excellent. However, the A350 looks appealing too, and I really don't know which one to choose. (I can't have both - yet!). I think I'm leaning towards the A330 due to its phenomenal textures, which is a shame, as the A350s' modern systems look interesting too.
April 26, 201511 yr I had to get this one. I would say they have improved greatly on the FBW compared to the A320 which is way more unstable in flight. There are some bugs and issues, though. A couple of things I've noticed: 1. The checklist seems.. well.. a bit off really (for example completing the after start checklist while only one of the engines is running..). 2. The engine instruments keep showing erratic values. However knowing JAR, updates will come and fix many issues (the A320 is a great plane nowadays). In comparison to the FF A350 it's hard to really give advice. It's a good plane also, but that one is also unfinished. I would wait until they upgrade the A350 so that you kan fly proper SID/STARS etc. Richard 7950x3d | 32Gb 6000mHz RAM | 8Tb NVme | RTX 4090 | MSFS | P3D | XP12
April 26, 201511 yr I would wait until they upgrade the A350 so that you kan fly proper SID/STARS etc. And that is why I haven't yet bought the A350; at that price point it should have had an MCDU capable of using 3rd-party nav data. Thankfully the A330 does even if not perfect.
April 26, 201511 yr I would wait until they upgrade the A350 so that you kan fly proper SID/STARS etc. Didn't know this was lacking so far. Thanks for the hu. Did they announce that it will be added soon?
April 26, 201511 yr Didn't know this was lacking so far. Thanks for the hu. Did they announce that it will be added soon? Well, don't know when they'll do it, or even if the upgrade will be free. Hopefully soon, it's a nice plane to hand fly. Richard 7950x3d | 32Gb 6000mHz RAM | 8Tb NVme | RTX 4090 | MSFS | P3D | XP12
April 27, 201511 yr Yes, I read a first review and it already appeared very functional and detailed which is surprising given how new that rw A350 is. Actually very nice to see the X-Plane realm offering quite some Airbus planes.
April 27, 201511 yr You can update XPX's navdata with Navigraph. Then you can plan your flight with a tool like EFASS, including SIDs, STARs, transitions, etc. You then simply export the plan into XPX and load it into the A350's FMGC. And then you'll have a realistic flight plan with all the procedures, using the latest AIRAC data.
April 27, 201511 yr You can update XPX's navdata with Navigraph. On a side note, that's another awesome part of the sim. To have X-Plane itself running on somehow current data which also offers access to all kinds of applications is very close to perfect. And thanks for your tip, Michael.

April 28, 201511 yr Bruce, Yes it does. EFASS is the only flight planner that I know of that can export a flight plan directly to the JD 330.
