December 8, 201510 yr The only problem I find with uk2000 airports is when you change regions in Orbx you have to manually move all the UK2000 airports above orbx in the scenery library. Is there a work around to prevent this? If that's the case then you haven't set your library insertion point properly in FTX Central... December 8, 201510 yr Actually, I would say to keep an ORBx FTX UK region installed at the same time (it does not need to be active), because the ORBx trees are automatically used by ES Treescapes, and they look better than the ES versions. Is there a work around to prevent this? Cheers I'm still in the habit of disabling airports and scenery i wont be using for a particular flight. I'm not sure if that is still has any value but I don't find that ensuring the correct layering of add-on scenery before a flight is that much of a pain.
December 8, 201510 yr I have only done short test flights so far in P3D v3 (take off, circuit, and landing), but it's still worth noting that I actually have every single Scenery Menu entry ticked (England/Wales/Scotland/Republic of Ireland photoscenery/FTX Northern Ireland/UK2000 Xtreme (all of them)/UK2000 VFR Airfields (all three volumes)/Scotlfight/FSX Power Project (pylon network and wind turbines)/ACG+MAIW military airfields etc), plus UT2 AI airliners @ 100%, MAIW AI military traffic, and REX Essential Plus SP3......and I still haven't encountered an OOM. Ooh I didn't think about that. But then again I'm using Orbx Trees HD so I don't think I need FTX enabled to see those? What sort of aircraft do you usually fly over all those addons, since I'd be sure you'd OOM out!? I guess that's P3Dv3's memory flushing working. Having said all that, I find FTX regions push VM usage up a lot more than Horizon VFR X, must be the autogen or something. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
December 8, 201510 yr If that's the case then you haven't set your library insertion point properly in FTX Central...If it's not too much trouble to ask, what part of FTX Central do I make the adjustments? Thanks Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. December 8, 201510 yr If it's not too much trouble to ask, what part of FTX Central do I make the adjustments? Thanks Of course it's not too much trouble. I would have given you the answer already this afternoon, but I was at work and couldn't access my sim PC. Here is what you have to do: Open FTX Central, go to "Settings" in the lower left corner and then click on Library Insertion Points on the right hand side. Scroll down the list and look for an entry in orange which says "FTX". Drag it down the list until it is right above "Bathymetry". If you also have openLC EU then you also have a blue entry "OLC". This should be right between "FTX" and "Bathymetry". So the order should be ... (Whatever airport or other add-ons you have) FTX OLC Bathymetry ... Then save the changes. Now, you shouldn't have problems with the scenery order when activating/de-activating FTX England. [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE

December 9, 201510 yr You are correct, Chris. Gary hopes to release version 2 of VFR Airfields Volume 3 in July 2016. Uhm...do you until what date the sale goes..?
December 9, 201510 yr Are they current demos for p3d exactly same as the full installers. I am seeing bugs in P3D demos especially during install on windows 10. The demo works but then also I don't see any shadows of the aircraft on ground as the wheels are kinda sunk in to the ground. Any clues? I am eyeing 4 airports at the moment - I would really like to enjoy them with FTX England & FTX openLC EU. Looking for feedback before I buy How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
December 9, 201510 yr Carlos Overnight. I received an email from UK2000 notifying me of the sale and saying that it goes until 31 December. Gary
