We have officially released Hotfix 2 for those who have Service Pack 6 w/Hotfix 1. Hotfix 2 includes the ability to manually change the cloud size file.

Errrrmm.... OMG!  Took the plunge into REXland tonight, downloaded the beta and went 'Extreme' [just for the hell of it]. Tweaked ASN to 5 layers (from 3), Overcast, Volumetric etc., this that and the other et.al. (as you do with a 4970k and a 980ti) and ..... I hate to say it - BUT - the sky is now full of clouds!!  Real Clouds. Fluffy clouds.Knittable clouds. Clouds that you could be lost in for hour after hour - which should make you thankful that you have pre-ordered DTG FlightSchool and will learn to stay away from them!

This is a whole NEW level!

Ultimate Kudos to you Reed. The guys in your team have really delivered! Big Style!!

Hi David and Karan, than you both! Glad you're enjoying.

@Dave Hodges, I will advise Reed to check this out because your version is behind.

Hi Rick,

The new user guide located within your main REX folder contains this information. Below are links to the new guides as well as the page number which explains:

I am moving from FSX to P3D. I used Rex 4 texture direct+soft clouds in FSX. Do I need to buy a new version of both for P3D?

Thank you Tim. And i will compliment you on a fantastic feature, P3d has never looked better, water is fantastic and the wave crests are amazing with AI Ships, and no more popcorn clouds. Thank you Rex... 10/10

Thank you for the update guys :)

Did you manage to implement this option so that only the scale section of the cloud.fx is changed, or does this still overwrite the whole file? I change the

GetPointDiffuse( Out.diffuse, position, spriteCenter.xyz ); sections, which were lost with the last version.

No biggie, as I can make the change manually, but its useful to know what will be changed.

Yes,  very nice indeed,  very happy with this

I'm slightly confused. Some are saying no more popcorn with this update, but surely if the new slider is left at default then you get a 0.5 multiplier and therefore popcorn. If you set it at 0.67+ then perhaps less popcorn but decrease in performance?

Debating whether this is worth doing as for now I have gone back to REX Ess+ - for both weather and textures as ASN can't seem to do realistic visibility at the moment and also seems to be more performance intensive.
