So what's going on at REX?

What's the news? I get the feeling like the minor hotfix is turning into a real production.

There has been a banner for a couple of days saying the always appreciated "Fix Coming Soon" but that's about it.

If the REX company would just get out of the weather generation business and just stick with textures, then they will do well. They did good when they separated the texture/wx product line, now all they have to do is cancel Weather Force, stop trying to create a weather generator, and they will succeed. Since REX persists in trying to compete with Hi Fi weather generation, they will be very slow with their hotfixes and they will continue to need endless patches for all of their products. No hard feelings, just the truth.

To have working clouds I installed FEX and used a nice Cumulus cloud :

All you are getting is 24 fps? I thought V 3.2 was supposed to have this dramatic FPS increase?

Yep.. That s all I get

Just kidding.

Full photoscenery + custom Autogen + 4 cloudlayers ASN + MyTraffic + locked at 25 in NVI + Unlimited in P3D + 3x 25 hrtz 32" monitors + maxed detail scenery

Unlocked at detailed airports with AI traffic + overcast = 27-36 fps

Therefore 25..

And it is smooth , also when banking..

However, unlocked  :

I am going to give up REX completely. I've never used it since I upgraded to P3Dv3. Don't miss it. I liked SoftClouds but all other texture sets I was only using rarely. They are also quite slow with upgrades/fixes. P3D water is good enough imo. Weather engine? Cannot comment on this. Weather Creator (my last purchase) seems to stay far away from what users (like me) expected it to be.

They should at least be giving an indication that there are delays or something...

Hi is there a short answer why your monitors are not at 27 or 30 hrtz,

guessing that it helps with stutters ...

They are 100 Hrtz HD tv's. Capable of doing 100/60/50/30/25/24 hrtz..

You are right that it helps with stutters / jitters.

Yes, indeed. The new ol' Flight Environment X (FEX) for P3D from Flight 1 is working well.

It's convenient that Flight1 issued a P3d compatible beta of FEX, just in time.

Yah noticed that but no comparsison to REX imo
