Just to interject, there are some areas that can be improved upon in the -6. Textures being the biggest one IMHO then the sound.

I always view the external model as an extra value feature, to me the cockpit simulation is the main priority. Real pilots fly inside the  cockpit not outside of it. So for me a detailed high res exterior is nice to have, but it's not absolutely necessary, especially if it affects performance.

Thanks

  • I don't think X-Plane needs saving, it's been running along for quite a while now under its own steam. I'm sure though that you are right about it drawing a lot of simmers of a certain demographic who

  • Welcome to the X-Plane world PMDG team!  She is a real beauty, and from what I've seen so far the level of detail and love put into it by the developers is amazing, I can already tell it has a "soul"

  • Absolutely, it also doesn't make you entitled to any product regardless of what your opinion is.

But then, I built & painted planes too!    As well as flying them. Therefor, the exterior does make a difference, in my mind.

True...but then PMDG is not modeling home built aircraft.

Thanks

Some friends of mine, are rebuilding a 1944 Douglas A-26 Invader.  Except for size, much larger engines, a lot more wire, control cables & gauges, it's still built the same way as my RV is.

P.S. --- it's now all shiny aluminum..

My father was a gunner on an A-26 during WWII! I wish them success!!

Thanks. I'll let them know. It's at the put back together stage now. Overhaul on engines is about complete, the center control panel with throttles, trim, etc. is completely rebuilt, as well as flap assemblies. Huge bundles of wiring, though. It's just one wire at a time.

Thanks for the feedback!

Armen the popping sound that happens when changing vies sometimes is quite distracting by how loud it is. Also the lack if 3D sounds in the exterior. Overl they are very well done. As for the textures I was actually talking about the interior not exterior textures. They seem to be a bit low res.

All brand new metals are shiny, my car was.

Or dirty, as I wrote. Dirty metal is still different than no metal

hello everybody! That is a great plane for an x-plane flyers.I have a question about SmartCopilot config file - will you create one or not? If you don't want to do this, so I can create it by myself, but in that case I need a list of all custom datarefs, that you use in this airplane!)

Regards, Nick

As I'm not sure they check this section I believe that your request should be posted into their support forum, you should have more chance to receive an answer.

I am quire sure they will not. No developer has created smartcopilot (third party app) config files either. The users create them.

You can ask the datarefs/commands to them or you can use free plugin apps for xplane that will allow you to monitor and track them so you now what are those.

Yes, though I can't see it being more difficult than getting the IXEG file up and running.

Glad the X-plane players are getting some love.

I anxiously await the FSX version, however. Hope it's not too far behind.

Same here!  From an artist standpoint looking forward to using the P3Dv3 canvas on this one!

Added to the fix list!
