August 21, 20169 yr I like the aircraft. It has good systems and hand flies very well. Their customer service has been excellent. I had an issue downloading the aircraft caused by my slow DSL in the Maine woods. Alain worked with me to get the issue resolved. He went above and beyond my expectations. Here is the GTN 750 & GTN 650 panel co-ordinates. They look good. August 21, 20169 yr I purchased it as well. Very nice plane, my favourite bizjet actually It's a hassle we have to disable OPTIMIZE_PARTS, because the performance hit is significative. Would be great they include an optional model to avoid the bug (may be a cockpit only, removing the cabin objects ?) Besides that, i noticed that GTN 750 suffers same problem than first versions of Flysimware planes: it looks very dark during day and too dark at night. Any idea to fix it ? I tweaked mine as follow: open the F1GTNfile (make a backup first) located in the"XP_Gates_Learjet_25_v2r0" in the Airplanes folder find the line "VC Brightness=6", change the 6 for a 10 close and save and should be ok  MSFS - XPlane11 & 12- P3D5 - DCS - Windows 10 64 bit - Corsair One i140 - i7 9700K 3.6Ghz - nVidia GeForce TRX 2080 Patrick Mussotte
August 21, 20169 yr Thanks for all that! I fly on a 16 inch Sony laptop that gives pretty reasonable performance but what I'm finding (and maybe that's a sign of age) is that I need the cockpit visuals to be clear and clean otherwise I'm forever zooming. I found the gauges on Milviz particularly clear with their variable intensity. PMDG and RealAir tick the boxes. On the other hand Flight1 Mustang whilst a great plane presents as too new and plastic to my untrained eyes. If this new model makes the virtual cockpit more readable while I'm sat back in the pilots chair it will be worth the investment. August 21, 20169 yr Author Nice Greg - my GTN 750 is a little skewed but I like the extra real estate on the mapOne of these days I'll get the 650 Is anyone else noticing the fps hit or is my 2500K 4GHz just showing its age? Since turning off optimize parts my rig is choking with this plane at urban areas with payware (like Orbx or any payware FSDT/FB/FT airports). Last night leaving VNY I got 7 fps (for a quick drop - avg 13) - brutal - Orbx dense AG and FSDT LAX airport in view. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

August 22, 20169 yr Hi Guys, Appreciate your reports, but before buying this Lear I would have some questions based on your initial experience (not really care about graphics, GTN intergration which is an anachronism in itself with a 20 series Lear): 1. performance numbers, fuel flow, speed, etc vs. real LR 25 2. system modelling like pressurization, fuel, electrics, engine start, etc 3. engine behaviour like EGT/EPR/RPM vs. altitude relationships. Real or default FS? Looking forward to your test flight results, cheers, Tamas Tamas Kovacsics "Fun and satisfaction both in real world and sim aviation"
August 22, 20169 yr Ryan, Hose does this one compare to the L24B? I have the Lionheart version in FSX and I love it, but there are some bugs that will probably never be fixed. This new XP 25 version looks like a nice upgrade. The RXP 530 & REX weather gauge should fit nicely in the VC. MSFS
August 22, 20169 yr The xtreme prototypes flight dynamics are superior. The flysimware 35 has the default Lear 45 flight dynamics that are slightly tweaked. I've tweaked them myself to get it as close as possible to the real thing from a pilot that was advising me. Really? Default Lear 45 flight dynamics... Now I am unhappy. August 22, 20169 yr Really? Default Lear 45 flight dynamics... Now I am unhappy. The XP Lear 25 flight dynamics are custom made. It's the 35 that doesn't appear to be. Mitchell Haughee
August 22, 20169 yr Author The performance numbers are generalized - there are not cruise power charts that I could find. There are fuel calcs for takeoff/climb and TOLD data. EPR doesn't seem to be modeled but I'm not an expert. Systems modeling is there but again you're not getting pmdg level of system dependencies. Almost all the switches are clickable but not all are functional. Additionally, adding an aftermarket GPS to an older jet is NOT uncommon, especially in the US. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 22, 20169 yr Many thanks Ryan. Near proper EPR/RPM/EGT relationship is what I call realistic engine behaviour and a good FDE (it is almost perfect in Coolsky DC-9). It seems that I have to wait more fore a high-end bizjet in FS world. Yes, you can retrofit any old jet with modern avioiocs but in case of a earlier Lear you would just loose that feeeling of the seventies. Cheers, Tamas Tamas Kovacsics "Fun and satisfaction both in real world and sim aviation"
August 22, 20169 yr Author Id say this is the best analogue bizjet to date though However the Fps impact is quite an issue on my aging 2500K @ 4GHz | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 23, 20169 yr Id say this is the best analogue bizjet to date though However the Fps impact is quite an issue on my aging 2500K @ 4GHz Thanks. I wonder if performance is affected in FSX? MSFS
August 23, 20169 yr Author Not sure - I don't really fly FSX anymore But I do have the lionheart LJ24. I know it's a rocketship but I still doubt the 10,000 fpm climb rate at 300 KIAS I get with it. I don't like the AP on that thing - never seems reliable when I turn it on. The external modeling on the XPJ and the LH are really similar quality, but the interior on the XPJ is far better. However the fps hit on the XPJ is worse than the LH. Sounds are better on the XPJ and so are systems IMO. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
