November 14, 20169 yr Dumb question, but did you also delete all of the LM folders after uninstalling v3.2 (inside Program Data, AppData\Local, AppData\Roaming, etc.)? I think that if you uninstall P3D, these folders are not deleted. Also, what add-ons do you use except the one mentioned?

I think that if you uninstall P3D, these folders are not deleted. Also, what add-ons do you use except the one mentioned? Yes, deleted all related folders. Addons used - FTX Global + OpenLC EU + Vector + HD Trees, T2G EDDM, ChasePlane. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
November 14, 20169 yr Do you use any traffic (default or 3rd party)? Also, when you created the situation at EDDM, did you used a saved flight, or did you create the scenario manually from the start-up screen?

Sorry if you didn't saw my edited post, but I've found the culprit, see my last post on previous page. Thank you for your help mate anyway, highly appreciated. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
November 20, 20169 yr Good afternoon everyone. i thought to reactivate this thread because i come over smtg during the last days of testing. I aam using the lastest version with P3D. Everything was running fine a few weeks ago (no ooms) but then something changed. Black textures at Aerosoft EDDF or Orbx ESSA when arriving the airport even with 300 MB left. that was never an issue i experienced before. Also rapidly rising VAS usage and when starting at an airport about 200-300 more VAS use then before. But i couldn't nail it. thought it was the affinity mask and HT thing. Tried diefferend setups, also reduced CPU OC. Nothing. Long story short. Having a glass of beer i remembered that i recently upgraded my graphicscard driber ( geforce 1080) to 375.63. Hmm maybe that...... well. Went back to 368.69 and vola !!!! Everything like before. VAS is still a culprit but with the old drivers it has some more room before oom occurs. Happy to hear your feedback ! Cheers, Carsten Carsten U
November 20, 20169 yr VAS is still a culprit but with the old drivers it has some more room before oom occurs. VAS is the virtual address space a program has to address RAM. This has nothing to do with the graphics card or the graphics card driver. [email protected] ∣ Asus ROG Strix B650E-E ∣ 64Gb@6000MT ∣ NVidia 5090 FE

Anyway switching the videocard drivers helped in my case. Nothing else changed. thanks for your Feedback Carsten U
November 20, 20169 yr I am on the latest version of P3D, the latest GeForce drivers, HT on, overclocked to 4.4 GHz - did a flight EDDM - LIMJ - OMDB -> no problems at all, even with OMDB Night Lights. When Dubai was loaded I had 2 "Dings" from FSUIPC. But landed and deboarded - worked pretty well. I am really glad that I have no problems with 3.4.9.
November 21, 20169 yr Commercial Member I get no change in VAS used with my six core and HT On or Off. What I do get with HT Off is an overall drop in system performance I'm not happy with. Best to set HT on and use an appropriate Affinity Mask for P3D. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
November 22, 20169 yr @swiesma your VAS is better, if you turn off HT. I do not have any VAS issues So why should I turn my i7 into an i5?
December 9, 20169 yr Recent statement by Adam Breed from LM: All, In the upcoming v3.4 hotfix 2 we have reworked an area of code to more aggressively purge data when traveling large distances. We believe it might improve some of these VAS reports. Feel free to continue to report use cases and any specific reproduction steps.Regards,Adam http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=120967&start=30#p148522 Something good is on approach (even though I don't have any VAS problems).
