I have installed vox7 for p3dv3.. installed popbase proggie and trying to install 1st pop voice Female Voice 1..but I keep getting this error message and it won't install and rolls back.. The error message is " Error 1001. An error occurred while updating vxavoicesCould not find a part of the path 'C:\users\.....\AppData\Roaming\InternalWorkings\Voxatc\vxavoices.xml'

 

Anybody else running into this and how do I correct..

My voices are working fine You could try uninstalling VoxPop and installing again. It sounds like something didn't install correctly.

I have made a cool discovery in 7.1 and am curious if anyone else can duplicate this. I contacted a mid-route Class D Tower asking permission to transit their airspace. The Tower did respond, but did not seem to recognize what I was asking for. The cool part is: after I established contact. I started hearing the Tower interacting with other traffic, and when I overflew the airport it was quite active with ground operations, departures, and takeoffs. I continued hearing the conversations for about 40 nm when I had to switch frequencies to contact the tower at my destination airport. I was not in expert mode, but did venture outside of the scripted prompts as if I was in expert mode, and it did respond.

tried uninstalling...reinstalled...same thing.....maybe someone could send me the xml lol... I am running windows 7x64..Any more ideas?

I can't use beta because it wants a serial or registration number. I purchased 6.52 and have a Registration code sticker with the dvd? What number if any am I suppose to use......Were is the documentation how to properly network this program...didn't see anything. Trying to take the stress off my p3d machine.. Thanks. I am using windows 7x64 ultimate.

I did not mean to uninstall the whole thing, only the voices. In order to get past the registration you will have to contact Tegwyn and let him know you uninstalled and reinstalled 7.1 There is a file he can send you.

Thanks Mad_Mac .... Well I have decided to see if I can network it... The voices ( pop voices ) wouldn't install so I have downloaded some trial voices from Ivona... Anyway.. I have it on a server machine ( a non p3dv3 machine)  and I have P3dv3 mapped from the p3dv3 machine)  and it begins to index but stops at the A321..any ideas. I will contact Tegwyn and see what he can do. Is the registration for the net server the same as the main program?  I am installing the main program on the server (non p3dv3 machine)  Do I install the netserver on the p3d machine or both and the pop up window on the p3d machine. I will look at the main page again. Really no good documentation on this... I hope you understand...trying to differentiate the machines (server and client lol) gets kinda confusing which one is called which.. Anyway.....Thanks for your assistance. Have a great day!!

I can confirm both the voxpop and IVONA voices all work fine with v7.

Can't help with the networking sorry as I'm not using that. Doesn't seem to be having any impact on fps or smoothness running on my sim PC, so I'm going with avoiding all the simconnect network traffic which could definitely have an impact on those

They've been unavailable for a while now. In fact, this entire beta process has been a mystery to me. I've been involved in a number of beta tests (public and private) and I've never seen one conducted like this.

People are mentioning a vox atc 7.1. 

 

Has there been an incremental update without (as usual) communication, or is 7.1 the one that was originally released as the Beta?

I reported a bug with the IA traffic just after release the beta. He solve it with a patch (7.1). That was just after release the beta. That was the only feedback i recive from the developer. In that time I had some hope...

So some people who downloaded v7 very early on will not know if they have v7.0 or 7.1.

 

I am no longer waiting for Vox to become a finished item. Hopeless.

I have given up on Vox after many years of using it. There are way better alternatives out there now and in my opinion version 7 did not bring anything new worthy of purchase again. Lack of communication from the developer hardly speak to its advantage either. What a strange beta run this have been!

 

If I understand correctly; those who downloaded beta 7 the day of release Sept 27 (and I bet many did) and given it should run for 60 days, the beta is over for most people in two days? and no news or feedback from dev at all? so if I understand very soon he is without public beta testers

Demo now run out so I can't use VOX ATC ...and no end in sight as to a release....

 

Mmmmm...for the first time in over 10 years I must comment that it is a poor service..

 

Mikecd76...what are you using now??

 

Pilot2atc has got my eye but the ui looks enormous. ..
