February 24, 20179 yr I agree. I don't like it, and I expect my content will "have to be approved by a moderator" - when did that happen??? 1984 is it?
February 24, 20179 yr Relax. Things are already changing for the better (topics vs questions, voting). The staff have use this forum too. Give them a chance to fluff and tweak. The new IPB layout was a shock to us too, but we are slowly making it look familiar again. Thanks for being patient. If you have specific feedback, it would be appreciated. "It sucks" makes me want to scroll right past what you're saying (just a thought). 3 lines of your text, 1 line of Quoted text you included and the whole post window of yours takes up a third of my vertical screen real estate. Gonna' need a bigger mouse wheel!
February 25, 20179 yr Why are certain notification attributes set by the administrators? If I want notifications (and I don't especially) I'll set those attributes, thank you very much. The whole point of a "profile" is for users to set their preferences - having admins set user preferences is obtrusive and annoying at best. DJ

Gonna' need a bigger mouse wheel! The change is prettier but as others have said, the functionality is much worse. My biggest complaint is the massive amounts of wastes screen space. I come here to read and type, not scroll and click.
February 25, 20179 yr This is not acceptable, 8-10 from seconds from press a forum link till it's open. What's wrong guys?
February 25, 20179 yr If it's not acceptable, you know what to do. That'll show 'em. P.S. Who picked those God awful smilies? The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
February 25, 20179 yr Hang on guys, LOL. We are not aware of some of these default settings you are mentioning (like the notifications stuff). I found a way to unrestricted those. From what I see on the admin end, I can set default ones (which I just put most of them to the notification list when you login on the forum). So you aren't inundated with e-mails, I unchecked most of the e-mail ones. Ron, who doesn't like a cookie? I picked those smiles this morning because the default ones were busted. With a fresh mind, they are not pretty. Off to find new ones but there are some other areas I want to focus on first. February 25, 20179 yr They did this once before but sense prevailed and they returned the Forums topics to their original position. My experience is that most websites are designed by webmasters who never/have not used them. BTW, I hate the new format. The old adage...."if it ain't broke don't fix it"

The forum software was fixing to have its support expire, so updating to the latest version was mandatory.
