March 18, 20179 yr Commercial Member Just wondering since I can't get the real thing any more. Thanks jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
March 18, 20179 yr Yes, it installs and works just fine. During install just point it to the P3D directory. Danny Danny
March 18, 20179 yr I'm heartbroken that I didn't get the chance to buy it. The Duke Turbine V2 is my absolute favourite GA airplane.
March 20, 20179 yr Author Commercial Member No cigar. Warning message to get P3D version then exit. Regards jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
March 20, 20179 yr fake FSX.exe in P3D folder, try again. I'm thinking you will be missing a few sounds Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

March 20, 20179 yr Hi all, If you have missing sound switches and others in the B60 v2, do this : 1. Install the Duke 2. Download the dsd_fsx_xml_sound_v520 archive from Doug Dawsons's homepage Link : http://www.douglassdawson.ca/ 3. Unzip the archive into a temporary directory 4. Make backups from RASDuke_Sound.gau in your gauges directory 5. Copy the dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau from the temporary folder into the gauges directory and rename it to RASDuke_Sound.gau Also in the B60 v2, to solve the left landing gear problem stuck in up position, do this : Solution : There's an error in the aircraft.cfg, in the [contact points] section: point.0 =1, 0.82, 0.00, -3.75, 4000, 0, 0.633, 35, 0.13, 1.80, 0.35, 3.1, 3.1, 0, 152, 180 //Tarmac, non-castoring point.1 =1, -8.04, -5.40, -3.94, 6000, 1, 1.00, 0, 0.30, 2.50, 0.36, 3.1, 3,1, 2, 152, 200 point.2 =1, -8.04, 5.00, -3.94, 6000, 2, 1.00, 0, 0.30, 2.50, 0.36, 3.1, 3.1, 3, 152, 200 Replace the comma by a dot (red number 3,1), and that's all folks! It was one of the first planes I planned to get if/when I came back, but just (and I meant JUST) as I was putting my system back together to start back up, the announcement was made. That said, I understand why the team wanted to make a clean break when they did, so no real complaints. I can still enjoy flying V1, but I sure am sorry I missed my chance at V2... At least I have the V2 versions of both piston and turbine Dukes. Scott

Mike I hope this, or something like it, works for P3D 64 EDIT: I just tried a flight...start on the runway, one turn in the pattern...with this and didn't get any gear or flaps sounds until I got nearly around in the pattern. Is there an amount of time you need to wait until the sounds start to work or something? Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. You can mod in a GTN to v1 and I have custom files for turbocharging v1 I think somewhere... there are limitations though hehe. March 22, 20179 yr I have found a way to install my Real Air Beech Piston v2 into P3D v3.xxx. It's installed outside of P3D folder just as my version 3 installer of the Turbine Duke did. What helped greatly was having the piston v2 already installed in FSX (so I could copy the pertinent folders). I rebuilt the piston in the Real Air directory in my J:\ Real Air folder same way as the Duke Turbine then added it to the simobjects, cfg. Most tedious part was getting the sound.ini file fixed right. The original FSX .ini has superfluous folders in the file pointers. example: Sound00=./SimObjects/Airplanes/RealAir Duke B60 V2/Panel/Sound/KEYPRESS_ANNUN.wav, -200 It has to be paired down to : Sound00=KEYPRESS_ANNUN.wav, -200 This way you dont have to do dsd_fsx_xml_sound_v520 file as proposed earlier, this results in no lag or problems with the sound showing up. (it works as originally built for FSX) Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

Lesson learned there. Yeah, it was the turbo-charging that sounded the most attractive, though I expect the GTN looks really nice in that cockpit. Scott
March 22, 20179 yr I just installed the FSX B60 V2 into P3Dv3 using the latest version of the EMT and everything, including all sounds, seem to work perfectly. You still need to edit the cfg file to correct the typo in the contact points data mentioned in an earlier reply to fix the landing gear problem. But you also had to make this correction for the aircraft installed in FSX.
