Best GA Multi Trainer P3D v4

Is there a twin Comanche out there for P3D?

That would be a fun aircraft.

Just the EaglesoftDG Piper Twin Commanche, which I don't know if it's compatible with P3Dv4 or not: http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/Layouts/ptc.htm

It's a very dated VC but great simulation. I had a lot of fun with it in FSX when it was released.

Thanks, Philip.

It's listed under P3D, but no mention of v4 compatible.

Looks like it isn't, here's Eaglesoft's Q&A for P3Dv4 compatibility:

Quote

Q. Are Eaglesoft products compatible with LM Prepare3D V4?

A. As of 05/27/2017 all Eaglesoft products are 32 Bit Simulation Platform compatible.
The same is true regarding our current set of Upcoming Projects.

We cannot yet speculate about which, if any product, is compatible with newest 64 Bit Simulation Platforms.
We will need to test and determine what may be possible.

As to the future, we will have a 64 Bit Product Catalog which will offer select projects for 64 Bit Platforms at a reasonable rates.

I cannot wait to see what they cook up for P3Dv4 though, they are one of my favorite third-party AC providers.

If you ever get into the XP11 realm there's a FANTASTIC twin Comanche from vflyte air - it's got the same character as a2a acft in P3D.

Anyway I think for now, for P3D , the Milviz c310 is your best bet

Since we're talking about light twins...

Does anyone have any 'time' with the Alabeo PA-23 Aztec?

I have the Milviz 310R and it's wonderful. But, another light twin in the hanger would be nice.

Thanks Ryan.

Have you flown it? Sounds like you have.

How is the flight model? I ask, because I've been burned on some x-plane aircraft; where the flight model is ridiculous and far from accurate. Roll rates > 180/sec, for example, in a Beechcraft Duke.

I just did a flight in the 310 last night and enjoyed it immensely. I would recommend it.

Thanks for all the recommendations and advice. I'm about to go buy the MilViz C310, though I'm tempted to treat myself and buy the Alabeo PA44 as well. It's my birthday tomorrow so I'm allowed!

Cheers, Gabi

Regarding Milviz, I prefer the B55 over the C310. It's not being updated to v4 yet, but according to Facebook they are already working on a new installer.

Hi Folks,

Happy Birthday Gabi !

Yeah - the B55 is a beautiful model (love that VC art work) but I had some issues with the FDE - the FDE both "B" and "E" models - you can't fly at published approach speeds without the nose of the plane unrealistically pitching up... If you fly the correct approach speed with the correct sight picture - the plane is unrealistically descending at greater than 2500 FPM... I had some private conversations with Bernt Stolle before he left and he relayed the FDE's were truly a kludge and not up to his personal standards - IIRC - there was a staff shake up, more than one person was involved, and the work handed off at some point and not truly completed properly...

I'm a Beech guy and would love to see this model updated (redux) as well - but on our last thread with Colin - he mentioned the chances seemed pretty low on this one...

Regards,

Scott

The Vfylteair Twin Comanche is indeed great - apart from the engine sounds!  #TwinLawnmower

I don't have a problem with them - it's their first FMOD sound pack and I believe they are releasing an update
