November 6, 20178 yr Nice! We need something like this, even if it's an interim step for whatever Laminar is planning in the future. Next obvious question: is it compatible with the new HD v4 scenery mesh? X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator on Windows 10 i7 6700 4.0 GHz, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1660 ti, 1920x1200 monitor

November 6, 20178 yr Now this is a big if but I'd like to collaborate with ortho2xp in the future along with third party airport designers... It's definitely new ground and one I want to grow for the sake of the community...

This looks terrific, can you provide more information please? Will it work with every weather engine or does it require a specific one? Do airports need to be specifically modified to use it? Will the seasons adjust to correct location/hemisphere? Many thanks  Will Reynolds  Flight Sim Addict Â
November 6, 20178 yr Looks great. I remember when this was first teased a few years back. Looking forward to it's release.

Yes, many users still don't understand or know it ... but let me very shortly sum it up: HD Mesh Scenery v4 (or any mesh scenery from me) is "simply" a vastly improved version of the default scenery. So, it only changes the underlying geometry data (mesh structure, overlay data) HD Mesh Scenery v4 (or any mesh scenery from me) does NOT need or bring along any extra textures or artwork! It completely relies on the default artwork set coming with XP11 ... Thus, if TerraMAXX works with modifying the default texture set (which it quite obviously does, otherwise it won't work with default scenery either) then it also fully works with any mesh scenery coming from me (including HD Mesh Scenery v4).  Andras Fabian / Alpilotx Visit www.alpilotx.net, a site about X-plane scenery You can see some landscape and other photographs from me here: http://www.flickr.co...s/weathermaker/

I mainly fly in California, and I'm not trading off my orthos, but it's understandable for people who want to see snowy landscapes in winter.
