Just tried to fly the CRJ this evening and I'm seeing what some of you are reporting with following the route. And what's up with that aweful ground bump noises.

Dave ? Isn`t that the name of the tablet "console" in the Aerosoft CRJ :-) ?

1. A320 home cockpit (FSLabs, Skalarki), P3Dv5  Main PC : I7-12700K, GTX3080Ti

2. FSLabs A3xx, P3Dv5. Gigabyte Aorus 17G YC, I7-10700K, RTX 3080

It's listed as fixed in the changelog, but I still have issues with the bearing pointers indicating erraticly.

Example. VOR1 pointer on MFD is pointing towards the tune VOR, but the same pointer on the PFD seems slaved to FMS waypoint. It's certainly NOT pointing at the tuned Navaid for me...

Your reports make depressing reading. But good to know all the same.

Well time to uninstall the CRJ once again. I don’t know what’s going on over at Aerosoft but this CRJ is a major disappointment. What good is a plane if it can’t follow the flight plan or VOR as others have reported. Waited two months for the same problems.

I am just testing it right now and it works like a charm. When you use the FMS as nav source the plane follows the lateral path exactly, no need to look at VOR frequencies etc. If you set nav source to VOR/LOC1, the plane will fly to the VOR if

- you picked the right frequency

- you picked a suitable radial

- your heading is not too far off (say, +- 30 degrees) of the radial that you chose.

That sound like a fairly normal behaviour to me. Also note that the plane will not automatically fly to the next VOR if nav source is VOR/LOC1. You have to dial in the new frequency and radial, and you have to fly in the right direction.

I’ll look at it again later but even with FMS as Nav source is was still acting flakey. I’m not the only one to report this but hey, I’ll make my 3rd attempt and see what happens.

Just a another CRJ user here...I won't get a chance to try this until Monday, (Holiday duties at home and all). But just a general question to the guys that are having problems, if your using an airac service, are you guys updating the airac's before trying these test flights. When you reinstall the software it rolls back to the default airac. I was just wondering if this could be causing some of the tracking issues.

I'm using the current nav data and verified I was in FMS1. I'll wait for more advanced reviews of this latest update before I try again.

Did you program an ils approach into your flight? did it capture the localizer and glideslope ok? did it turn to the initial approach fix as expected?

I've done two short flights and the plane actually follows the flightplan. Up to a point. Turns of 70-90 degrees need some tweaking as the FD and AP can't seem to agree on when to start the turn and amount of aileron needed. After crossing the last waypoint the AP will not even try to fly toward the first point in the approach, even though the FD is telling it to "turn ... turn." No discontinuities or vectors on the FMS.

Once I got it tracking right it did capture the LOC and GS.

Nav data shouldn’t effect nav tracking, as all the other planes with updated ariacs track routes just fine.

Seems ok to me...
