November 25, 20178 yr The 717 is not PMDG grade but I enjoy it. FYI Leonardo said their new version of the the MD80 they hope to have ready by the end of the year. It has been in beta a couple of months now. I believe it will be a great study level aircraft. The only thing wrong with the one now is graphics are a bit dated. Might be worth considering for if you're unsure about the TDFi state of completion. Vic green
November 26, 20178 yr If you purchase the Leonardo available now you will get the upgrade for a discount when released. Vic green
November 26, 20178 yr Commercial Member FYI there is a new beta update for the 717. https://fselite.net/news/tfdi-design-community-beta-update-1-0-9-16-available/
November 26, 20178 yr Commercial Member TFDI's definition of beta isn't what the state of the CRJ is, it's come a long, long way since release and buying it now would most certainly not be like buying an early beta, more like a very mature beta with just a few more bugs to iron out before release.

To my eyes the Leonardo version to come looks amazing, especially the VC if this is what you mean. As far as I remember Bryan York wrote somwhere it has to be the best looking VC he's ever seen.
November 26, 20178 yr Hi Folks, Watched some of Dave's Twitch videos flying the NEW Mad Dog - looked pretty good to me and all new... Regards, Scott

Breaking my heart to see airlines retiring the MD but that's progress I guess. Leonardo was ahead of his time with Fly The Maddog. Vic green
November 26, 20178 yr OK can someone clear this up for me... If it's my understanding if you purchase the 717 TODAY: 1: An official stable version for P3D V4 hasn't been released. 2: If you want to use it in P3D V4 you will need to download the Beta Version? Which is free and available to anyone?

November 27, 20178 yr The thing about their beta is that they not only improved the plane in several respects but they added like TrueGlass and RealLight. How many beta planes actually added a fantastic window environment without paying a cent more. These guys deserve some business. I'd sure like to see PMDG, or FSLabs upgrade their windows to P3Dv4.1 expectations for free. Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb
