I appreciate you taking the time and effort to post links but they just present me with the login page until I register. And given the amount of effort users have to put in to get anything like the number of Ai in commercial products like MTPro it's not something I want to pursue.

@DaveCT2003, I think I've made my position quite clear. There's too much work involved in getting all the models and schedules setup. I'll leave that to those who are interested.

I'm done with this discussion now. I have my solution.

And that is a main problem of threads like these.  This thread is NOT P3Dv4 specific.  It's in the ONLY Prepar3d forum section.  And I've seen this happen countless times since Prepar3d has been released.  People post "fixes" or "solutions" that work in SOME of the Prepar3d versions, but NOT others.  Heck, I even see people making claims in these kind of threads, but they are using FSX Boxed or FSX:Steam and don't even have Prepar3d installed on their computer.

AVSIM, you REALLY need to break down the P3D forums into SPECIFIC sub-forums for the different releases now.  P3Dv2, P3Dv3, P3Dv4, etc, are NOT the same sims when it comes to what works or doesn't work with them.  It is totally frustrating (and just plain confusing) for an AVSIM user to be reading "Prepar3d" topics that DON'T APPLY to their version of Prepar3d.

Just a suggestion.

Almost all of the AIG models fall into 4 large categories by author (FAIB, FSPX, AIG, and HTAI) and all those have been converted for use in P3d4. The few models that haven't been converted for use in P3d4 can be converted by the user for personal use. There is a detailed tutorial for doing so. Most of those models haven't been converted because permission cannot be obtained from the original author. Fortunately, many of those legacy models are going out of service in real life. And even those are in the process of being replaced from scratch with all new AI models.

Hi Oliver. Thank you, I am ready to try the tool over the weekend.

 

Out of all the components within the flightsim, the one am least bothered about is AI.

So I bought UTL last night, turn the setting down as I did not want a big hit and having "lite" traffic is fine for me. 

But here is the question.

An Airbus taxiing in behind me as I sat at a gate and I did not hear anything as it passed by, it seems UTL aircraft have no sound? My Old MY6 the sounds were way to loud but now am not sure they have any?

UTL has mostly legacy models and you'd have to check each model's sound.cfg file to see what sound files are supposedly being used. AI aircraft models often rely on sounds that are associated with default sim aircraft. Since FSX and P3d have different collections of stock aircraft there might be some files missing. Or you could buy the add-on AI sound package Traffic 3D Sounds.
