I'm not aware of a better KLAX other than FSDreamTeam's - as far as I can tell (using charts etc) it is up to date regarding gates & taxiways. So in short, if you are looking for a KLAX, their version is the go to.

I'm not sure if it is still the case but if you run Orbx Socal, you may need to download a small compatibility file to ensure photoreal beach shows up. https://orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/107942-sca-compatibility-with-fsdreamteam-klax/

Other than that, I've been very happy with it!

here is an oldie that showcases FSDT in FSX. Definitely still the KLAX to go with. I can imagine FSDT doing a V2 of this scenery in the not to distant future:

I still use the latest from Ray Smith that has been converted to P3Dv4 by Robert Cathedral.  The buildings maybe default, but the AFCAD is correct to the best of my knowledge. 🙂

 

I hope they do a V2. The current one is pretty old, very poorly optimized, has very bad performance, and has lots of issues  with P3D V4.

Agreed. It’s the only FSDT I’ve always gotten terrible performance with.

 

They only work in P3Dv4 SDK now so when they do update, the new KORD due out this year gives some idea what to expect, without SOCAL the performance is good but I dread to think what True Earth will do. 

It would be amazing, if FSDreamTeam would redo KLAX exclusively for Prepar3D V4, IMO. That way, they can utilize all the new features and techniques from the new KORD they're making.

FSDT KLAX not bad with OPENLCNA by ORBX but forget vector or even FTXSCA if you fly FSL A320 or simular.

Here's the "old" and "outdated" FSDT KLAX, happily outperforming a native-P3D4 scenery (Aerosoft EDDF Professional), with the SAME settings and the SAME airplane. 

So, while we'll certainly release a native remake for P3D V4, but after O'Hare AND JFK, which are in more dire need of an update, the current version will do just fine, and it's common knowledge to be one of our best performing sceneries under P3D4.

Here's a final approach in P3D4 from Aerosoft EDDF to FSDT KLAX, with the PMDG 747, plus a very long list of other addons, happily landing with high settings and AI, with no issues.

I didn't see it posted here, but there is a PhotoReal version of KLAX which is absolutely fantastic!  We use it for guys in our group who don't have the FSDT payware and it matches up extremely well, plus it looks GREAT! 

The author has done many airports as well... all VERY high quality, excellent performance, and free.  Not by the same author, but someone did a Photoreal KTPA which is really incredible (and free as well).  If I didn't already have the payware, I'd be iusing the photoreal for all the airports they did.
