Currently no, I do not believe the real EFB has this feature. (might be wrong though for the last part :)) Chris Makris PLEASE NOTE PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at http://forum.pmdg.com
May 12, 20188 yr Hugely impressive and it brings the time you're investing in this model's development into focus. Can't wait to fly her! Also (and yes, I know this is still beta, but I better say it now than when it's too late): Will the yoke (removing the checklist and changing the geometry a bit) be fixed? And I also spotted the same bug/inaccuracy that is currently present in the -400, namely the wrong accu-break pressure reading (way too low). The parking brake still works but the reading doesn't make any sense. It looks like the EFB has a document library that reads PDFs and I'm assuming it'll scan a particular directory on your drive in which you can deposit the PDFs you need to reference. That's just me guessing, though. Alex Pugh

With the moving map on the navigation display, all you have to do is look down as you're taxiing. To look at the EFB, you'd have to look down and to the left. May 12, 20188 yr One quick question on the EFB. The take off performance said only TO and Flaps 10 for take off is possible. Is this just because of the settings the FMC provide? Or are these performance restrictions by the aircraft? Is the EFB capable of evaluating optimum thrust and flap configs for take offs? The baby looks great and thanks in advance for a response :) Greetings Michael

Alex Pugh As far as I can see, it won't: Quote For those wondering about EFB-based Nav-Charts in other products and from other providers: Long term, this capability will wind up in any PMDG airplane that gets the EFB, and we **are** planning to offer a similar style solution to users of Aerosoft’s charting solutions- but we do not expect to begin working on that integration until after the 747-8 has been released… so it will come some time later an update. We recognize that some users do not want to have a subscription to a navigation charting service, but we do not anticipate creating any “Free” options that are compatible with our EFB- primarily for the same reason we have held off on the EFB creation this long: There aren’t any good unified sources of that data that we feel can be relied upon to justify the work investment required… From previous preview topic Edited May 12, 20188 yr by Anders Bermann Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471
