Ultimate 787 - Version 1.1.2a released

Recommended Posts

Quote from QW forums:

" Dear 787 drivers,

thanks to the automatic crash reporting we have been able to make some progress and further
improve the stability of the 787.
We would like to thank everybody who has participated and hope to see even more improvements in the future.

Even though we did not plan to send out another update this soon, we figured it would be good to share those bugfixes as soon as possible with you.

The installer below will update your V1.1.2 to V1.1.2A and addresses the following issues:
- AUX page related CTD
- CDU RTE page related CTD
- WXR Radar related CTD
- A/T thrust oscillation in cruise (also affects step climbs)
- slight descent before climbing when initiating step climb

Important:
V1.1.2 needs to be installed already.
If you did not install V1.1.2 yet we recommend a full reinstallation.
Installers on our website have been updated to include this update already.
Files on the Flight1 page will follow within 24hours.

Thank you on behalf of the whole QualityWings Team! "

Good stuff. I took it for a spin yesterday DEN-SFO and I've got some weird behavior. about 30 mins out of SFO, Radar Contact was completely unresponsive (never happened before) and my position on the P3D map was showing that I was still over the Rockies in Colorado. I'm going to try this again tonight and see if it behaves weird again.

So just installed 1.1.2a and after this I have no electrical power! External Power, APU Power nothing works any more.
There are allready similar reports in the Flight1 Forum.

Maybe wait a little bit with this patch, you will patch it to the virtuell hangar with this. My 787 is there now 😑

It's an issue with the automatic bug reporting. Reinstall and uncheck the option to automatically send a CTD crash report. They will fix this shortly.

I heard you like fixes so we release fix updates for fix updates and patches for patches. 30 money back guarantee but you do not get a feel for if it is ever going to be a complete aircraft in 30 days and if they are going to add more functionality or just chase bugs then release the -10 for more cash and call it a day. I regret this purchase but it is after 30 days so it goes in my hanger with all the other aircrafts I have bought like Carenado that have no depth of systems.

Updated and installed - all working just fine here - took several short (1 - 2hr) flights. All systems functioned as expected.

Nice to see a developer caring about a product and de facto, it's users. As evidenced in the CTD auto reporter. How many sims have one of these?

I fly 1.1.2. I have no issues, except I would like the HUD brightness potentiometer to be activated.

The CTD reporter is redundant, in my install.

Thanks for a great simulation!😁

Regards

David

Yep, great service on the part of QualityWings.  I usually only care about study-level sims but seeing this level of commitment will probably result in me purchasing the 787.

Are we really praising QualityWings for taking steps to make their product achieve basic functionality?

I believe we should praise those who keep working on their products. Is a good thing, don't you think?

🙄

No, we're praising them for doing what many developers in this industry do not.  The amount of effort they have put into making things right is among the best I have ever seen.  That's worth noticing.
