March 28, 20197 yr Let me get this straight. EA is one of the biggest and most profitable gaming supplier and has a big hit on their hands. Why would they be laying off or firing all those people? Thanks

Jane's F-15 Strike Eagle and Jane's F/A-18 Super Hornet! Two AMAZING aviation combat sims that in some areas rival or still beat DCS! The former EA Program Manager for Jane's F/A-18 Super Hornet was Matt Wagner (aka "Wags"), who today is the Eagle Dynamics Program Manager for DCS! Best wishes! They did make some cuts at a studio in Australia in Feb this year. I guess by nature this is a very competitive and fast-moving industry so it's not all that surprising. Barry Friedman
April 3, 20197 yr The money to be made is ingame purchases which has ruined gta5 and red dead redemption 2. I always says Microsoft tried to brand fsx as a 'game' not like a 'sim' like fs2004 at the same time xbox and ps2 where being branded. A fail before it even started. Basically nowadays you need to mass market something to make it more profitable. It's the same with recent films, they are made for the massive Chinese Market which relies on dvd sakes. The chinease looove super hero movies, so guess what keeps getting made. Same with modern pop music. AI can now look at songs and beats and determine if it's going to be any good based on previous songs. So the game makers have seen the potential in global in game purchases and are concentrating on that. If you let youre kid pay for emblems to go on rifles in games this is what happens. This is what kids want to spend their pocket money on. 💩 Edited April 3, 20197 yr by tooting
