Airport scenery recommendation for South America

Featured Replies

Hi guys i was wondering if anyone could recommend me any South American destinations that are not SAEZ, SCEL, SBGR, SBGL, SEQM. I don't mind none compatible P3D V4 as i can get it to work and i'm really keen on expanding my South American destinations. Thanks very much

This from my scenery list:  SAEZ TropicalSim, SCEL LatinVFR, SBGR TropicalSim, SBGL TropicalSim, SEQM Flightbeam (excellent scenery).  Also SBKP by Paulo Ricardo and SKBO by Virtual Columbia.  Of course the Orbx South America openLC is also a must have.

I have Taxi2Gate SGAS (Asuncion, Paraguay) and LatinVFR SLVR (Santa Cruz Viru-Viru) working in P3Dv4 with a little help from GSX2.  The Paulo Ricardo sceneries are also OK in P3Dv4.

Thanks guys for all the replies i this really gave me an insight and will be buying some of these for sure 🙂

I spend most of my flight time in South America. This scenery list are the airports I've got currently installed in P3Dv4.5. The last group of 4 LatinVFR airports are ones that I go back and forth about installing. They are looking quite dated, but still better than the default airports.

P3Dv4 Specific

SEQM - Flightbeam_Quito

SCEL - LatinVFR_Santiago

SBFZ - PauloRicardo_Fortaleza

SBJV - PauloRicardo_Joinville

SBSV - PauloRicardo_Salvador (2 Airports)

SBKP - PauloRicardo_Viracapos

SKPV & SKSP - PKSIM_San Andres & Providencia

TNCA - TropicalSim_Aruba 2017

TFFF - TropicalSim_Fort De France 2018

SBRJ - TropicalSim_Santos Dumont 2018  (Used on top of PR Rio)

SBGR - TropicalSim_Sao Paulo 2017  (Used on top of PR Sao Paulo)

TIST - TropicalSim_St Thomas-TIST 2018

P3DV4 Compatible

TNCB - Aerosoft_Bonaire

SVSB - Aerosoft_Santa Barbara De Barinas

SBJR - PauloRicardo_Rio De Janeiro (8 Airports)

SBGR - Paulo Ricardo_Sao Paulo (5 Airports)

SAEZ - TropicalSim_Buenos Aires

SBGL - TropicalSim - Rio De Janeiro 2016 (Used on top of PR Rio)

FSX - Work with modifications

SPZO - Aerosoft_Cuzco

TTCP -  LatinVFR_Crown Point

Older Scenery - Better than the default airports

SVMI - LatinVFR_Caracas

SLLP - LatinVFR_LaPaz

SPIM - LatinVFR_Lima

SUMU - LatinVFR_Montevideo

Can you share the mods you made to get this working ?

Cheers,

9800x3d, ASUS TUF x870, 64GB G.Skill DDR5, MSI Ventus 4080, HP Reverb G2 VR, FlyVirtual.net, Private Pilot SEL rating, subLogic FlightSim 1983 & every release since

I have the underlying UTX Tropical scenery installed which covers South America, and TTCP is one of the 5 enhanced airports in the UTX XpressSim scenery folder. I delete the XpressSim scenery entry in the P3D scenery menu and then delete the entire UTX XpressSim scenery folder & files.

With the UTX XpressSim scenery active it causes elevation issues with the LatinVFR TTCP scenery.

I have 3 freeware Brazil airports that are pretty good.

Belo Horizonte (SBCF) https://rzanollicenarios.blogspot.com/2017/12/imagens-do-novo-cenario-do-aeroporto.html

Sao Luis (SBSL) https://jffsscenery.blogspot.com/2018/10/sbsl-x18-marechal-hugo-da-cunha-machado.html

Porto Alegre (SBPA) https://rzanollicenarios.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html

SBPA was made for P3Dv3 but it works good in v4.5.
