The 4 new videos are captured at 60 fps, while previous ones were at 30 fps. Don't know if they seconded my request in another thread, or it was just by chance.

Anyway, these latest videos look smoother compared to the previous ones (e.g. the aerobatics one, captured in an earlier build).

From what we've seen even in these latest videos (visuals, weather, flight model), I don't see competition for MFS, just as it had been up to FSX.

There are still a couple of unknowns, e.g. performance on a mid-high level pc (but the latest videos are promising), performance in VR, bandwidth required for scenery streaming, etc. that could possibly leave a small market share to competitors. But if these unknowns are resolved in favor of MFS, then it's gonna corner the market in a heartbeat.

What would really be more interesting to know is how M$ plans to work with third party devs. And whether the new sim will be a subscription kind of deal.

Maybe related to the recent builds, compared with the older ones of previous releases. Or maybe not.

But good one.

Can I quote you on that ... 😉  ... sorry couldn't resist.

Mmm... What do you mean? (I'm lost in translation probably).

He means that everything related to MFS is unknown know beyond what we have officially read or seen.

While everyone is making comparisons of what they expect based on what they know from other simulators, few in the general user community have any idea what's in store with this new title.

Hints suggest it's not.

To be honest we don't know much.

Specs: 11900K (5ghz), 64GB ram 3600mhz, RTX 3080 ti

I will bet you £5 million (better get that in before Brexit) it’s not subscription based.

They have confirmed no subscription. It was just done in a weird way.

Yeah that poster requested it in a weird/funny way so they responded in kind.

I think Microsoft are playing there cards close to there chest here...

It does seam like you don't need a subscription to buy/play the game. However we don't know for sure that a subscription service will not be provided for the online streaming experience? We'll have to see but streaming content obviously means additional cost to Microsoft so that money has to be recouped. If we're not streaming the download files will be huge.

I would also expect Microsoft Flight Simulator to be included as part of the Xbox Game Pass as promised which is just good business and great if you are already signed up but not necessary if you just want to purchase this game.

Why didn't they charge us for the use of their multiplayer servers? They've already said no subscription. You think they'll charge us full price then put a sub on top of it? Your post is unnecessary speculation at this point.

Yeah you are probably right at the moment LOL. But it's clear the cloud infrastructure costs will be higher this time, how that transpires for the end user we'll have to wait and see.

FS 2020 is going to be the Best Flight Simulator of All times - no competition at all for it, just alternatives for those who like to have more than one installed 🙂
