September 16, 20196 yr Yes, you would actually sink underwater inside the plane if you crashed the Lake Renegade. Brings back some memories: FU3 had some amazing graphics at the time it was released in the late 90's...
September 16, 20196 yr I have a feeling (I hope I'm wrong) that we may not see a lot of specific models. They won't state Airbus, just "commercial jet" or something like that.

September 16, 20196 yr I believe not stating the manufacturer's name is enough to avoid licensing issues. Most add-on aircraft are like that, only the model number is stated.

I would be surprised of ANY of their aircraft showed up as a default. If a smaller company like Laminar can release a flight sim like XP11 with properly labeled default aircraft like a Cessna 172, Beechcraft Baron, and Beechcraft King Air C90B, then I don't see why Microsoft couldn't do the same. 31 minutes ago, andyjohnston.net said: I have a feeling (I hope I'm wrong) that we may not see a lot of specific models. Also a Sikorsky S-76 and Cirrus SF-50. No fake names. X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator on Windows 10 i7 6700 4.0 GHz, 32 GB RAM, GTX 1660 ti, 1920x1200 monitor

September 16, 20196 yr I vote for this beauty. 😁😁😁 No licensing issues since Minecraft belongs to Ms. They won't have to care about flight model too Edited September 16, 20196 yr by Jazznow
September 16, 20196 yr I would like to see a Cessna C337 Skymaster and a Socata TBM 800 or 900 series along with the standard default aircraft from previous versions. Also something with large tires and STOL for bush flying. John Cottreau Edited September 16, 20196 yr by johncott Specs: black box thingy with spinning fans, lights and a bunch of wires that go to screens with pretty colours and a keyboard with many keys. The black box thingy also has a push button activated coffee cup holder. John C.
September 16, 20196 yr Complex default airliners most likely won't be a thing in MSFS. Even if it's not as deep simulation-wise as PMDG or FSLabs it still takes years to develop a good, reasonably complex airliner. That's a project on its own. Leave that to the 3rd party developers we know produce magnificent addons. I believe this will be one of the aspects where 3rd party devs can still fully flourish while the scenery addon market will largely become obsolete, in my opinion, given the visuals we have seen so far (with the exception of airports). The only scenario I can think of which would provide complex 'default' aircraft from the start would be if 3rd party aircraft were included at release which might actually happen given MS have apparently reached out to developers already. As for licensing, we have had Cessnas and the like for so long in our sims. Why would that suddenly become an issue? Edited September 16, 20196 yr by threegreen

P3Dv4 currently has no Cessna or Beechcraft aircraft in the default lineup. Last I heard LM was negotiating with Textron to get them included again. How third party developers are able to make these aircraft is one of the great modern mysteries, but at least we've seen a Cessna in the MSFS screen shots/videos. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! Doing a quick check, Carenado and A2A don't mention the manufacturer anywhere in their product names.

It looks like the model number will be OK as long as they don't mention the manufacturer: Bell, Cessna, Beechcraft, whatever. Hook Larry Hookins Oh!
