Yes, that is an accurate self-diagnosis.

I don't think you get it.

You're espousing crazy conspiracy theories, and I'm not going to join you.  That doesn't make me "in the dark", it makes you crazy 😉

If that is the case then prove me wrong by accepting my very diplomatic challenge. Or am I over the target?

Others in the thread, observe the ad hominem attacks. Calling me “crazy” is Not an argument.

Well, so far I have seen people asking for vr being called cultists, fanatics and other pejoratives that I assume are intended to express the posters displeasure at us upstarts daring to make ourselves known.

Hows that for community spirit?

Can you cite some examples of this?  I'm just not seeing it.  What I do see is an individual or two who feel like they must defend the virtue of VR from perceived attacks.

Show me some examples of people attacking VR in this thread.

I clearly gave you a simple challenge,  why are you deflecting, it is a simple yes or no. If I am wrong then I will except the label of a conspiracy theorist.

I will go further, I will pin the label in my profile but I will take it down as soon as I see somebody challenge the polls.

"bring more people to VR", "people hating us " ; evangelism, victimization. The VR crowd sounds more and more like the XPlane crowd (not all but a great deal of them).  A sect.

Looks like the vr loving Russian bots have woken up 😜

But the way overbearing people hijack or even manipulate threads (and when I say threads, the figures on this poll of the last 12 hours are rather weird)  is repelling rather than attractive. If it goes on like that, VR in flight simming is on the path taken by XP, a chapel for true believers not a mainstream way of simming. And that would be a pity.

This poll has been rigged by the r/flightsim spamming VR

ATC and Seasons are MUCH more important than VR

What are the context for these quotes?  Honestly, based on what I've seen from some of the vocal VR supporters here, I'm inclined to agree with his sentiment.

VR is a great technology with a lot of potential and I hope it receives support in MSFS.

I don't think I'll be joining any of you at a "VR User Group" meetup any time soon though...

I asked to see the evidence for the argument in order to weigh it.  I'm not prepared to dismiss it out-of-hand, neither am I going to accept it blindly without context.

Goalpost moved. Let’s end this. No hard feeling?

I've done no such thing, but I'm not surprised to see you leaping for conclusions once again.

Do you know how question marks work?  You'll see that I responded to HiFlyer's post with a question.  Literally the first thing I typed in my response.

These posts and others are easily found in this thread. I just had problem multi-quoting for some reason, so I had to just copy and paste. My point is that some have chosen to cast aspersions and even accusations of poll manipulation, and no, people are not taking it well, which should not be surprising as honestly, it's kind of ugly.

I'm always surprised how much drama we can wring out of pretend digital airplanes.

Okay, my bad then, I may have miss that. Time to move on?
