What doesn’t bother you at all?

My reply immediately followed yours, so I thought my meaning should have been clear. What you wrote just before my reply:

Honestly, it’d be easier (forum wide) to stick to that if anybody actually read anything past one page.

It’s unbelievably frustrating how much stuff is already addressed or discussed, but too many users generally don’t go read any of the previous pages of information.

I think the 10 users who actually own a VR can wait and the dev time can be dedicated to more important stuff

Yeah I like VR and want it to succeed, but even I am starting to hate it now with all the ultimatums and thread flooding.

I've seen only one thread being flooded, and it was from people not wanting vr. You would have to point out the same coming from the pro vr side. I would be interested as I have not seen it yet.

Thank you. I wish all saw that

I'd love to try it, but without a solid sim in the first place, VR is just eye-candy and gamelike.

How can you put those two statements in the same sentence?

Yeah, I agree, that makes no sense? So... he'll buy flight sim because of its reality, but in VR it's a game? I dont get it. But then again, I'm slow, I'm polish lol

My most-wanted item isn't even on the list.  I want IR, darn it.  Ichthyological Reality--I want realistic virtual fish in the oceans.  Sea Bass, in particular.  Ill-mannered ones.  With laser-beams on their foreheads...

Yeah.

VR and ATC. Those are not only essential functions, but much needed for VR. Without ATC it’s a crippled flight simulator in the eyes of the core simmers. Without VR it’s a crippled and dated game in the eyes of the general public.

I don't think the 'General Public' give a toss about flight simming.

It could be, but in my view it was the much maligned general public that got FSX and its predecessors above a million units sold in the first place.

The general public are the people having great fun with FSX even now on Steam, even as "serious simmers" migrated to X-plane and P3D

The general public I suspect will turn up for this sim as well, provided Microsoft has learned the lessons of history and doesn't let it get it turned primarily or exclusively into some sort of niche elitist thing.

I keep firmly in mind that its the general public that visits the air space museum and air shows etc in droves.

I believe the interest has always been there, just not in the dry, technical button-pressing variety of sim that tends to be the bread and butter of some dedicated enthusiasts.

The general publlic has strong interest in flight simulation. They are just afraid of the complex controls. You only need to convince them it's easy to get into it even though there is a long way for perfection. That's exactly what Microsoft has been promoting their flight simulator series.

But the general public's opinion is quite different this time. They show WILD interest in the new MSFS! I know this as I have observed public opinions from the net. I think Microsoft is aware of this, and it's exactly the reason why they reboot this series.

So, for the sake of PR, it really should have VR in the first place.

Unfortunately I am stereo-blind and  I doubt that VR works for me, same reason that 3D glasses won't work for me.    Having Seasons is very important and I would personally put the most importance on Seasons for the variety of scenery.

Speaking in the name of the general public is  in the best case a bold assumption, more generally a way to reinforce cheaply what you want to demonstrate.
