October 2, 20196 yr Angel Falls on the Auyán-tepui mesa and the surrounding Guiana Highlands area in Venezuela. Highest waterfall in the world. Looks terrible in Bing. Better in Google Earth, but the 3D representation falls apart if you shift the angle of view down far enough, and the waterfall goes sideways. The mesas look better in X-Plane but there's no falls since it's just terrain mesh and landclass texture. I'm not seriously thinking they'll take the trouble to model this in MSFS, because it looks like the height data is missing from both Bing and Google. But maybe they'll give it a shot. It's famously related to aviation, with US aviator/explorer Jimmie Angel the first to fly over it, and later landed/crashed a plane on top of the mesa. The falls are named for him, although they'll probably revert to an indigenous name at some point if they haven't already. I visited the falls a long time ago, flying in on a DC-3 the local air carrier used at the time.
