Microsoft saw that the carrier pigeons were good, and ordered more from the local poultry farm. Deliverables were created, so that the new carrier pigeons could deliver a multitude of these deliverables to the holy ones. Microsoft saw that the deliverables were good, and they separated the new deliverables from the rubbish that had gone before. Microsoft called the new deliverables "Flight Simulator", and it was good.

Then Microsoft said "I give you every square kilometre on the face of the whole Earth, and every airport that has a runway, however bare and roughly made. They will be yours to fly from. And to all the geeks in darkened bedrooms across the Earth, I give planes to fly in, and carrier pigeons to shoot". And it was so.

Microsoft saw all that they had made, and it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning.........the release day.

So did everybody here get an e-mail telling them they are in (and are not allowed to notify anybody about that) and am I the only one left behind? Or are we all still hoping to get that e-mail? It's awfully silent on the forum at the moment... 🙂

I am sure most of us are in the same boat as you. I mean I have been an insider since day one and also signed up for the alpha as soon as the sign ups were open but here I am still checking mail. I know it sucks and each one of us really want to try that Alpha but that is how it is. I am still quite sure that they are cherry picking people (mostly 3rd party devs) for the first alpha. So chances of you and I being selected are very slim.

Perhaps some have been notified, with an extra instruction not to tell anyone that they have been accepted. I think there was something in the NDA about not being able to tell, though when I checked the survey again and finally uploaded my DxDiag (a couple of days before recruitment shut down) I didn't see anything about that.

I can confirm I have not received any e-mail so far at least.

I've been wondering about this myself. I have a screenshot of the NDA from when I signed up and it doesn't specifically say not to tell anyone. All it says is not to take screenshots/video or talk about the game to anyone. It also says that everything related to the testing program is confidential. I guess that includes acceptance emails?

When the survey opened up I was fairly sure there was something regarding not being able to tell others that you've been accepted. And yet, on the day I completed the survey, I checked it again and I couldn't find anything on this. Perhaps that part was removed at some point, or I am just remembering wrong. I will take a look at some of the development posts as well. Do you remember when you took that screenshot?

They way they worded it they have already selected all testers:

It's funny, I was thinking the same thing. It does seem like it was there at some point, but maybe all the posts with people talking about it have changed my memories. 🤣
