>Huh? Whats so naieve about expecting the preview to look like>the real thing? Because, wingnut, in the entire history of the world, universe, and 10 planets, REALITY has NEVER , and i mean never, ever looked like an artists conception. Well you could easaly say that FS9 also got rid of the majority of blurries en that we are 'just' stuck with a few particular ones. (yes we got rid of 80% of the problem but you know what? the 20% thats left shows up all the time) With blurries its simple either you solve it 100% (and you can even state minimum hardware requirements needed for this fix) or the problem isn't fixedThere are more reports of conferention vistors that noticed blurries or low FPS (example: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...18066&mode=full )I would expect demo setups at a flightsim conference to be tuned for optimal FPS and flight experience and not for eyecandy. It doesn't look like it.I see people happy with 12 - 15 fps in busy area's great for them but I expect 25 FPS with no drops in 1280 x 1024 using tons of add-ons in FS9 (and I get it). So I'll never be happy with 12-15 fps in plain vanilla FS-X. Sorry

It is amazing to watch folks plant their feet on one or two issues that will make or break the next version for them. And the ease at which they question the credibility and/or integrity of the people who are developing the product. I rarely see a question ask that has not been answered by one of the ACES staff members. Their candor has been great. As an example, the ATC question was addressed in a blog and whether you agree or not, the reasoning made sense to me. But I'm not looking for conspiracies and marketing misdirections. :)I am pretty confident that if we go back to the release of FS9, most of the negative release content will look like Ground Hog Day. The biggest event to me is the opening of the program to our developers. Can't wait to see what they cook up. :)Bob...

"So I'll never be happy with 12-15 fps in plain vanilla FS-X. Sorry"Why are you sorry? I don't care what you'd be happy with.

>By Joe, >>for a second, I thought the first picture was FSX. and was>thinking..What machine is that running in?>:)>>MannyI thought so too, until I saw the cloud shadow in picture 2... but hey MSFS is getting closer and closer every release!

>Truly I think some of the members of this forum are a little>bit nuts. One guy maybe saw some blurry textures and that's>got you guys thrown into panic mode. Here here. The FSX hasn't been released yet and some guys jump into conclusions! We saw this when FS9 was released. When I installed it on my machine all was 100% even when some guys were saying that they had problems. Lets wait and see after one month of release date.Stelios

I thought there were only 8? Did they up it again?Sorry, couldn't resist.Ian.

"So I'll never be happy with 12-15 fps in plain vanilla FS-X. Sorry" Well I dont give a rat's arse what frame rates I get as long as it runs smoothly. I think the aces team should get rid of the FPS counter and give us a fluidity meter instead! :-)

>You might be suprised to know that FSX does feature>animated people (in some missions at least) ;)Then it's not just a stupid joke on my part. So much the better. ;)Regards,http://www.bremmekamp.com/img/misc/avsim.jpg

Uh Oh ....Blurries???? In the real world ?????How much did you pay for that real plane and real world experience Geof?If you paid more than the $70 FSX will cost, I'd ask for my money back.Cheers ;-) ;-)

>Huh? Whats so naieve about expecting the preview to look like>the real thing? What "previews" are you talking about? All I've seen were images advertised as conceptual renditions of what FS with DX10 might look like, I must have missed the actual preview shots you obviously saw.Regards,http://www.bremmekamp.com/img/misc/avsim.jpg

> I think the aces team should get rid of>the FPS counter and give us a fluidity meter instead! :-)For those who can't decide for themselves if the motion their eyes perceive appears to be fluid to them? Good idea, it seems there are quite some of those around. ;) Regards,http://www.bremmekamp.com/img/misc/avsim.jpg
