Now That We Know

So far one of my favorite devs has made several statements on this forum. I'd like to hear others make a statement:

ORBX

Flightbeam

FSDT

Who do you want to hear from?

MSFS

LatinVFR will be doing upgrades for free, per their Facebook page.

FsimStudios still TBD per their Facebook page:

"We hope everyone is safe and healthy in these difficult times.

As most of you probably know, Lockheed Martin just announced that their new version of Prepar3d (v5) is scheduled to be released next week. After discussing with the team, we have decided that our current line of products won't be ported over to P3D v5 at least until SODE is made available for the new platform. This will be done this way because many of the functionality of our current products depend heavily on SODE. That would also allow us enough time to see how the market behaves, now that FS2020 is being developed.

That being said, once we decide to upgrade the products to P3D v5 (if the market is large enough), the update will most likely be free of charge. We are currently working on porting our products to FS2020, as this is a bit more of a complex task.

It would also be great to know what your thoughts are about the upcoming platforms! Let us know in the poll below, and stay tuned: Next week we will be updating you all in a few things we've been working on."

Surprised at how few major devs have made statements. I know it was just announced but they’ve known for months...

Hmmmm.  I kinda b*tched that PMDG charged updates since FSX haha.  But since this new sim is DX12 there very well may be a lot of graphical updating to do on some products.  As long as I don't have to re-buy, I'd be ok paying an upgrade fee.  IF I even buy v5 that is....

Based on my experience with FlyTampa (and as a beta tester) I have a feeling that they will take care of their customers. I will contact Martin or Emilios to get an update. KLAS is the first airport and city I'm going to load just to see what kind of fps improvement I get.
