April 18, 20206 yr Lockheed Martin should get you on one of those shopping channels. They would sell millions! Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
April 18, 20206 yr There are a lot of freeware pilotable ships out there, some here at Avsim. Also Orbx includes a pilotable boat in their free PNW sceneries. Edited April 18, 20206 yr by yurei My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.

From Deltasim...make sure you read about needing the update (provided by them) to add to the .cfg file...or your yacht will not go 14 knots... Now you folks can be out here with me...REALLY using all that P3D v5 can offer you! http://www.deltasimstudio.com/ Thanks. Tried it out for a bit, pretty enjoyable. Though the model is obviously a bit rough given its age. Would love to see what some super high-quality payware could be like. April 18, 20206 yr Someone should set up an around the world boat race and livestream it!! 😄 P3D & X-Plane 11 - Videos and streaming @ V Special 1

April 18, 20206 yr Hi Folks, The water physics has been one of my pet peeves since introduced in FS - are the physics any better meaning you get drift with the wind and movement with an aircraft as long as the prop is turning - meaning they’ve eliminated that unrealistic “sticky water” ? Regards, Scott
April 18, 20206 yr This is pretty cool! Thanks, I will definitely try this out later. While I wait for my big birds to come out I will hang out at sea with this! Hahaha. Regards, Scott Sure have...oh yea...I set the Kodiak Quest about ten feet from the Ketchican cement dock...as I munched some dinner (BBQed chicken wings..good!) and as I ate...the plane drifted right onto the dock..and the effects program took over...and fire wrecked the right pontoon....had to end the 'flight'. My yacht totally reacts to the waves now...up the side, and down into the trough..if the wave and trough depth is encountered. That the fun now..it all being generated by a water physics engine..and the waves you advance on...are not the same height as some are spouting...they are now dynamic...and I hope I don't encounter a rouge one, for when I get out to open water in the channel. Right now, I'm still protected by the shore... You can't just land on water like prior flight sims and their release versions. If you now catch and bury your pontoon tips...you will flip....and if you have both effects slider full right...well, I won't spoil what you will see, IF THAT HAPPENS, lol! Just will say, that you would most likely be quite...virtually....DEAD....;) Oh..as to what I think you meant...not just prop off drifting...yes...the plane will advance upon the water with just idle prop wash...but, if you own Accu-Feel, you can dial in exactly what water drag you want to work against your pontoons...from 0..to whatever, but P3D v5 now mimics real seaplane prop wash handling...yes. April 18, 20206 yr I have a couple of deltasim boats. They did not work well at all in 4.5. Also, the waves were there in 4.5 but made a ride uncontrollable. I'll have a look at this again. Maybe the new engine makes a difference. Hans
April 18, 20206 yr Wow, I wonder when we will start seeing some study level boats for p3d v5 lol. This might open up a whole new niche within flight simming. April 18, 20206 yr Looks pretty wild. How do you 'place' a boat at a certain position in the ocean/bay? Thanks, Mark
