Not only are the leaks breaking the NDA and are copyright violations. The leaks - and the discussions about what is shown there - are a disrespect for Asobo and the openness they showed towards the simming community so far. That is now getting destroyed by a small number of grandstanders. Those should not be supported by sharing and discussing their illegal content. Best the leaks should just be ignored. There is no illegal action; A) You don't know the terms and conditions in the NDA so you're hardly in a position to be able to present a legal framework for how this works. B) You're taking an armistice position - talking for Avsim - which is above and beyond your station - in that you're not a Moderator of these hallowed pages - speaking as if you're part of the policy-making board - which you're not. C) It's a public Forum - if it's in the public domain - which the leaked footage is - we'll discuss is son. Just like we always have. D) Why should the leaks be ignored. Because we're brown-nosing MS/ Asobo? Forget it mate - you do that. I want to learn as much as I can about this new sim by whatever means available. After all, it's just a game. Don't take it so seriously.
June 21, 20205 yr This topic has quite likely been damaging and contributed to ruining the experience for alpha testing in the upcoming sim. This will quite likely be to the detriment of development. June 21, 20205 yr Hopefully there will be a few more juicy leaks before the Alpha tersters' screens are filled with new blinking and jumping popups. I will surely keep an eye out on the Chinese Youtube for new contributions.

June 21, 20205 yr The popularity of this thread is testament to the failure of Asobo to provide interesting updates to the community. The official weekly media updates are pathetic IMHO, mostly the same old wide screen money shots, boring... Why can't Asobo publish a 15+ minute video every week, made by an alpha tester, I'm sure there would be several happy to oblige. The alpha tester is doing all the work producing the video, all Asobo has to do it provide the link. Apparently this is just too hard for Asobo 🙄.... Thankfully, we have leak videos. 🙊 Matthew S

There was no evidence of a MSFS2020 until they showed the first trailer. Seriously, that’s the worst excuse ever. Avsim have already blocked dishonest, untrustworthy simmers screenshots, so I guess they’ll do the same with their videos.

Critique is important albeit I don’t always agree with Matthews approach However the acting like Asobo are doing us a huge favour with updates is getting a bit tiresome for me. If we’re all being honest the interest in the weekly updates has dropped significantly. It does feel like Groundhog Day with the screenshots and 10 second footage. An the over reaction to the leaked footage is embarrassing. It is a game that thousand of people have access to so what a few videos leak out.
June 21, 20205 yr Also a big stretch - and an arrogant one - to suggest he was the only one to request it be included. Watching videos of an incomplete sim tells me nothing. All it is for is the screenshot kids (like Matthew) waiting to pause it and screenshot it for their discord buddies when they are home from school.
